We were snowbirds for several years in the Shores - Captiva one year (at Emilia), and then 5 years at Shores Club (just a few doors south). Just saw that the lifeguard station at Dunlawton has been washed out. Just recently bought in Port Orange, and we are grateful that the water did NOT reach our foundation with Ian. Kath (my wife) just spoke w/ our adjoining neighbor and he says we should be ok for Nicole -- but we know folks from beachside who have evacuated to another friend's house a couple miles away here in Pt Orange. Not sure where you are in the Shores, but we hope your place makes it through - will be thinking of you. Stay safe...
