John Sykes was so underrated man, thank you for posting this night blazing solo 👍🎸🤘
Probably the most accurate lesson out there. One small note that most miss, if you listen very carefully, John actually slows the final run ever so slightly so that he hits the final note (before the melodic bends) a little bit after the beat instead of right on it. Giving it a sexy flowing feel. Great job with this though, it’s a wild solo. If you’re not familiar with john’s playing outside of this, I highly recommend digging into it. Probably the top 5 best guitar players of all time, a great writer, and an amazing vocalist. Blue Murder was phenomenal
Thx!!! I’ve needed this for 37 years! Much appreciated….great work Sir
Enjoy the lesson my friend, thanks!
Right?! So amazing.
I never was a fan of Whitesnake (didn’t like Coverdale), but this song was standalone BADASS.
I can't believe you posted this! I have always envied the Still Of the Night solo! Thanks for doing this! 🤘
In addition to this awesome solo, I have to say the riffage that leads into this is some of my favorite from this era. Epic track.
Absolutely right, the build up is just epic, the song is a classic
Sensational playing.
Thank you,sir.
@@verminfawlty-arat.5650 I appreciate it, thanks!
Anotehr fantastic lesson!!
Your video is on point for learning this solo !
amazing
Awesome! Thank you.
I'm working on this tonight. I think your way is way easier than what I've seen on other vids. Thanks!
That's great man, thanks!
That opening run! Very nice!!👍
Thanks...Awesome!

Thank you again ! Another great job 🎸
WOW!!!! someone has been busy!!!!!!! maybe you can do another short lesson Trilogy Suite Op intro starting on high string

Thanks brother!
Great job!
Woooo grandioso solo
BEST!!!
cool 👍 thanks
Hi, I really appreciate your channel and the effort you put into each video to reproduce the original solos as accurately as possible (unlike many other RUclipsrs who often and willingly propose their more or less correct versions of the original solos). I imagine that you are also a fan of Uli John Roth (if you like Malmsteen, you can't help but like Uli Jon Roth) and I was wondering if one day or another you will make a video dedicated to his solo on All Night Long with the Scorpions
Thanks very much for the kind words, I appreciate it. I'll keep your suggestion in mind, Uli is an icon both technical and melodic player who always plays with a sence of measure, cheers!
super coolz with double coolz on top
@@franciskavanagh6179 Haha, thanks!
You make it look so effortless...I can't even play the first five notes smooth and half speed...forgive me...I am a drummer you know.
Solos de John Norum pls 😊
Honestly, I'm not too familiar with his music but I'll see
dude, you MUST do something off of the first Blue Murder album! many great ones to choose from
I'll check it out!
Out of Love Again is a great ballad with great solo but the whole album is ultra classic. I wore it out in 89

Great man,I'll have a listen for sure, can't beat 80s ballad solo :)
Sykes probably used alternate picking so he must have had a great technique to execute this run. Interesting.
I'm not sure to tell you the truth, I've come across a few videos where the story is he uses economy picking but I'm not that familiar with his playing, but kick ass solo non the less
@@chasingfretsJohn did both but for this solo it’s def alt picked. He’s not hitting every note perfectly, it’s more about the sheer power and speed behind it. But it comes together perfectly when I’m the full mix.
high E string😀
Check your e-mail :)
I really hated that they almost completely buried that solo in the mix. You almost have to have the stems to listen to it.
I know what you mean, luckily there's an isolated guitar track on YT for John's guitar so we can have a proper listen
Ikr, first time I heard it I had to listen to it in stereo.
