I’ve attended the Watches and Wonders event and I’ve surprisingly discovered that Hermès won very respectable prizes for their calendar and astronomy watch, and also for the complications which made me reconsider their from a jewelry watches brand to a respectable timepieces brand. But I agree with you that mostly people buy their watches just as a bracelet.

I think it’s all just having a great connection and relationship with an SA. She would just call me every few months and offer me a kelly or Birkin or Constance. I never had a wish list and I’m not a big spender. I’d occasionally buy a belt or click clack bracelet, perfume, etc

I don’t know why but I find size 35 Kelly’s and Birkin’s work on almost all frames. I’m guessing it’s due to the proportions. I am about 5 ft 7 and US 6 and I find the B30 looked small on me and didn’t like the square-ish shape of the proportions. That suede Birkin looks absolutely gorgeous. I hope you’re offered one soon!
I personally have a preference for a 30 cm bag (because of weight, I always seem to fill my bags), but I agree, as someone who is 5ft 7 (US size 2 - 4), big bags the size of a 35 cm look great on me & also my 5ft 4 mother.
I would say a good way of getting used to the special order and to test out the leathers/colors of Hermes is to go for the personalized bastia or calvi.

I purchased the Finesse bracelet with Rose Gold last week at the boutique. After I did a little research, I have found many of them on the preloved website with half of the price I paid. I'm thinking about returning for the store credit. However, I don't want to upset my SA as I'm still on the waitlist for the Birkin. 😟
Unfortunately, Hermès fine jewelry doesn't really hold its value on the pre-loved market so Fashionphile (in particular) often has a huge range of them available for a fraction of the price 🙈 I don't think they'd be upset if you exchanged it for something else at the boutique 🖤
Hi G I love your videos and probably have seen 95% of them! I wanted to ask you because my city is getting it's first Hermes and I'm soooo exited!! I have only shopped once in Las Vegas at Crystals. It was a divine experience and that being said I have always wanted to be loyal but it has been sooo long since that purchase. I have wanted to buy from the website but was gonna hold off for my upcoming Vegas trip where I planned to finally goto Hermes again. Also will wait because you say it's not best to buy from their site. Should I purchase from Vegas and mention my excitement for new store and ask how I could make the new my "home store" or just wait until the new store opens next year and "start fresh"? So sorry to take up your time I know you work very hard to bring us content thank you!!!!! Also thanks for being so natural and down to earth it's really refreshing to see and you proudly wear your bags. I cannot wait for the day to be offered a Mini Kelly and proudly carry it here in backwards land lol.

Yeah i got a gorgeous tricolor Kelly pocket online that everyone at the boutique where i live were shocked over!!! The main color is black, with blue nuit and blue frida ... in epsom... yummy.
This year, sadly if I didn’t buy online I wouldn’t have added any new pieces since our boutique has been experiencing a lack of merchandise. In fact my SA apologized for not having a quota bag to offer me. But I don’t recommend this because as you said it doesn’t help with building you relationship or with your spend.
I've heard they're still catching up on production, hence a ton of pieces that were bought at the podium had to be canceled from the current collection 😣 Let's hope we'll have a better selection to choose from next season 🤞 Would you ask your boutique to transfer pieces in from the online store or would it be too much of a hassle for you? 🖤
Since I haven't been able to go back to Munich (where I could get to a Boutique quite easily), first because of the pandemic, at the moment, because my Dad isn't feeling very good, so I don't want to leave him alone, I basically ordered everything online (and it started online anyways, because silly me thought, "I only want two Bastia Coin purses, one lighter colour, one darker colour (because of colour transfer)"; yea, didn't expect to love so many different things from the brand 😂 (except for the Kelly, I knew I loved that, but I also knew I couldn't simply buy it)! I ordered over the phone twice, and the SAs both were very kind and helpful, but it was more nicely packaged when I ordered directly from the online store (ordering from the store, one time a ribbon was missing, the other time the paper looked "used" somehow (sounds picky, but I like my items and the boxes they come in to be in pristine condition 😉)). So I have a pretty good connection to the online team from Hermès Germany (they don't have that many people, so when you call them now and then to ask a question, you very probably will recognise the names, and some of the CAs remember yours too), but unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to build a relationship with a Sales Assistant; but some things, like the Kelly belt, that is on my wishlist for quite some time, or the beautiful china, I would prefer to buy in a Boutique. Buying Hermes online would always be something I would Shy away from. I think that, especially when it comes to Hermes, part of the whole experience of buying IS going into the store, and shopping in person
Hi my lovely, I've watch all your videos about hermes as I am really interested on most of their stuff not just bags. I live in london and I had the courage to go to one of their store on the weekend, I was looking for Paris loafers but they didnt have any on my size in any color, so I ask if they have any picotin, evelyn, aline, bolide or lindy (basically any bag as I just really wanted to go home with one) 😂 They gave me a SA for the leather goods, he was nice very chatty and smiley but he just basically said why don't I try their online shop or try going to a different store? He did not even offer me a chance to create a wishlist and I just felt not welcome so I left with nothing even if I wanted to check out some of their homeware. I'm sorry if this is so long but I really don't know how/where to start my "hermes journey" and you're one of those people around here who seem to know hermes so well. Many thanks! xx
