    It turns out I took all the garments to this special cleaners. They were able to get all smells out of everything I made. My clients loved my work and the wedding turned out awesome!!

    You could add some light fire to the fabric that comes attached under the applique

    hey!! so my formal is extremely soon (Feb 4th), and my dress is absolutely amazing oMG I love it- but I’d love to add some little flower appliqués to it. The top of the dress is a soft corset, and the skirt bit is tulle :) so I was wondering, if I were to buy very small cotton flowers (they look like embroidered appliqués), would this work for the material?? I’ve been fretting about this for so long haha

    Hi I'm actualy using some appliques right now. I have a question about your main picture what style of stress is the one in the middle, the mermaid dress with the ruffles on the floor and how do you get it to ruffle out like that on the floor without leaving a seam around the dress. It just flares out onto ruffled hem.

  • @CatherineSTodd

    What kind of "permanent fabric glue" you mention? Is "E6000 Fabric Fuse for extreme stretch" the correct one to sew embroidered appliques to cotton knit fabrics?

    Hi, great video 😊 can I just ask " do you take it off the plastic before it dries ? " may sound silly but best to ask 😊

    • @DoctorFashion
      @DoctorFashion  5 лет назад +1

      No, you let it dry on the plastic and it peels right out.. if you don't let it dry on the plastic then it can ruin your dressform/mannequin.

    What is the best way to get rid of the e6000 smell? would regular hand-washing get rid of the smell or do I need to take it to a cleaner?

    • @DoctorFashion
      @DoctorFashion  5 лет назад

      randomnes14rose you must be using the e6000 in the silver/grey tube .., bc the one I’m using don’t have much of a scent ... I’ve been told from people that have experienced a smell with the other e6000 they took it to the cleaners and the smell was gone .

    I used the E6000 glue as advised by this video for several mid-evil outfits for my wedding clients. I did not read the back of the E6000 tube. It is extremely toxic. Now my client is completely holding me responsible and cannot wear the cape and dress I made for her. She cannot stand the way it smells. She spent $1,200 for her finance's jacket and her cape and dress. I want to warn everyone that the glue E6000 is VERY, VERY toxic. I wish you would have told everyone in your video that they need to be careful in the beginning of your video that using this glue can cause cancer!

    • @DoctorFashion
      @DoctorFashion  6 лет назад +3

      hmm just about everything in the world can cause cancer..... including food... and the E6000 glue doesnt even have a strong smell.. where did you order yours from?

    • @cathiefrance4946
      @cathiefrance4946 6 лет назад

      I bought it on Amazon and then at Hobby Lobby when I needed more.

      Cathie France omg! The dramatics is not like the client was going to wear the garment for 24 hrs or more 🤦🏾‍♀️ geez! And don't blame her for a tutorial you didn't read the back of a product YOU PURCHASE!!
