    Stunning work! I"m making floating lace circle cuffs and tattoo lace shoulders on illusion sleeves for a wedding dress today and this was helpful. I can't help but feel my hand stitches are too big and clumsy, but they do seem to melt into the final work. I'm using thread that matches the lace because the invisible thread is too hard for me to see and it coils back on itself. Even though my mesh is flesh colored the cream thread is nearly invisible even on the back side.

The sewing part was fast forward which I can understand because it's a long process. I just felt like it would have help seeing one min of the video close up showing how to actually sew the applique onto the mesh.

I have a very intricate pattern peacock actually lol, it has feathers and sprays of color every where that ate about 1/3 wide. would do you think fabric glue might be a better choice than sewing the tiny parts? 🤔

    Thank you so much for taking the time to show us this technique! The nude mesh is sewn together like a bodice right? If so, do I connect the mesh bodice to the skirt? Then cleaning the inside raw seams up with my serger? Thank you SewSis! I am so excited to try my first gown! 🥰

    • @Christianomeshun
      @Christianomeshun  4 года назад +3

      Stephanie Williams yes it’s sewn complete like a bodice. You have to connect the top and the skirt before hand sewing your appliqué. I did french seams on the illusion mesh .

      Life syle Case by case means that the person decides whether or not to use the clear thread with the project. Sometime they’ll say yes and sometimes they’ll say no. So, evaluate each case.
