I have watched soooooo many videos on how to accomplish this and in the first 5 minutes of this video I learned what was taking me hours to do with other tutorials. Thank you!!!Thank you!!!Thank you!!!
Yaaaaassssss! Thank you! You're so smart! Everybody else talking about complicated inkscape and phonto, nah. This is what i needed right here. This is so smart and easy!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you, i was upset because i could figure how to do it since the other option away. I'm just learning and RUclips has become my best friend for this.
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!! Out of all of the videos I've watched for doing the shadow... your video is the only one that helped me!!!! Much appreciated!!!!
Thank you so much, I'm such a Newbie, I'm a nail tech working from home & have my Cricuts on another desk in my salon & my clients are all obsessed with me making them personalized "what ever's" , so thanks to your amazing tutorial I am making T-shirt Logo's for one of my clients uniforms to match her business cards. Soo happy :)
Yippee!!! This was so helpful! I tried Inkscape for as long as my 2 year old would allow (about 2 minutes) and it just wasn’t happening. This is wonderful, easy, and just what I need!!! :D thank you!
I am so glad that I found your video. I was about to cry with all of the inkskape videos. I just couldn't get it. Thank you for thinking of this and sharing it! Cricut clearly needs to make this easier since it is a thing that is in such high demand.
OMG !!!! TY that was much better then bring to use ink space and then pulling it into Cricut . Your a life saver and very well explained. great detail !
Your tutorial helped me out so much!!! I can't thank you enough!! I was able to shadow 6 names for cups that are Christmas gifts & I had no idea how to do it...until now!! Thanks again!!
Oh! My! Gosh! Thank you Thank you Thank you. I have been so frustrated trying to shadow. My old Cricut machine from about 10 years ago had a shadow option. The New one does not. Great instructions and easy to follow. I am so excited to get started shadowing for my son's album. Yea
New follower here! Soo happy I found you, you are like the only that actually used just Cricut design space. Thank you soo very much for making this video!!! I can’t wait to watch your other videos and become more and more inspired to create new things with my Cricut. -Martha
Thank you so much! Since the print option has gone I have not found any tutorial without apps to do a shadow. This works perfectly just takes a little patience :)
wow thank you so much!! beginner here and couldnt follow along in inkscape, this is much more better and easier for newbies like me. thank you again! Now i need to figure out how to cut this next put together lol
Fantastic video. I do wish that you had taken a few more steps and added how you set it up to cut and how to piece the text together after its been cut.
I’m new to Cricut..I have the explore air 2 and i believe you would have to layer your word on the shadow then stick to your material .. cut the amount of vinyl you need for one color and do the same for the second color .. you can print both at the same time .. but yeah, look up layering!
Thanks for sharing...I love my Cricut machine, I am on my Fifth machine. I wish they create an offset button, to make it a lot easier. I also own the silhouette machine and they have a offset Button and it’s just fabulous to use for any lettering or images etc.
If I were trying to cut this in HTV, would I need to slice the top layer through the shadow or can I layer regular htv on top of each other? Thank you for this. Let us know if they update this option. Another video made me feel like I need Illustrator and Inkscape. You are so innovative!!! Thanks, again.
Great video, I'm only confused with either welding or attaching and the color goes back to black and not the color you wanted at least that's my issue, what would I need to do differently? Thanks for the video!
@@melissamontagliano2194 you cut them separately then put the thicker word on the bottom and the thinner on top after they’ve both been cut by your machine. You can’t weld them because they’re different colors.
Thank you so much!!!! I hate inkscape and it wasnt working I love that i have more control and freedom on adjusting my fonts I'm a newbie and you are so patient and you Cricut really needs to hire you for promo or demos
I realize this is an older post, but what I've been doing is make your text, duplicate it 4 times and center them all on top of each other. Center all five Horizontally and Vertically. Change the color of the top layer, then send it to the back. Click the next layer move it UP 5 "clicks" using the arrow keys on your keyboard. Send that to the back. Next layer, move it DOWN 5 clicks, send to back. Repeat with the next layer, but move it 5 clicks to the LEFT, send it to the back. Next layer, you guessed it, move it 5 clicks to the right and send it to the back. Sometimes, I make 8 duplicates and move the extra 4 as follows - up 5 clicks and left 5 clicks, up 5 clicks and right 5 clicks, down 5 clicks and left 5 clicks, down 5 clicks and right 5 clicks. I use the shapes tool to fill in any spaces visible through the lettering. It doesn't seem to take as long as eyeballing each layer. If you want more space, add more clicks.
This is a great work-around. Thanks! I am having so much fun with my cricut but sometimes I get frustrated that Design Space is so DOS-y. Jeez! It's not 1982! Thanks again!

Thank you so much! This was so helpful but now how do you print it and cut it out? What do you cut it out on, vinyl or printable vinyl or waterslide?
Thank you so much for this. Ive been having a hard time understanding inkscape, so this is a blessing
Thank you for demonstrating this technique. It is not as hard as I thought it would be.

Thank you do much...your video was a life saver.. down to the point and easy to follow instructions
Glad it helped
Seriously just saved so much of my time! Thank you so much. Very helpful!
Thanks for showing how to do a text-shadow. I have a question. to cut how would we be doing it?
Dang no one had answer😂😂
I would think you would weld the black together and cut as normal.
WOW. So much easier than other methods.
Crude, but effective.
Many hugs for you!
Thank you! This is so easy to follow and straight to the point! ❤️
Very, very informative. Thank you for taking the time to post this.

Thank you thank you thank you! I’m so glad I ran across this tutorial!
This was great!! You made it much easier. Thanks!!!!
You're welcome!
Thank you so much! I cant believe how easy it is. I saw tutorials using inkspace and they were so complicated for something so simple.
This video solved my issue, I am so thankful for you sharing.
I have been wondering for so long, and been very intimidated to try, but this helps so much! thanks!

Great suggestion!
Thank you so much no apps to down load
This is SO helpful! Thank you!!!
Thanks I needed this bc offset still does not work on my cricut.. it does nothing.
Thank you so much.
Just tried it .... works Great !
Awesome sauce, it beats paying for a font
Looks nice on paper but how will it do a basic cut? Do you end up with two layers? - two different colors that you have to stick together?
Thanks so much that was an awesome detail video
Thank you! I was looking for a way to do this earlier!!
Do you have a tutorial showing how to cut and place this once designed in design space?
I’m new to Cricut..I have the explore air 2 and i believe you would have to layer your word on the shadow then stick to your material .. cut the amount of vinyl you need for one color and do the same for the second color .. you can print both at the same time .. but yeah, look up layering!
Thank you so much for this video. Cricut does now have the offset, I found it not so great to use. This I like a lot.

Thank you for that Video. I didnˋt found one in german, but that helps me a lot.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. You made it so clear and easy to understand. ❣❣❣
Nice and simple thank you. One question though, how do you cut this? Or do you print then cut? I’m very new to all this. Thank you for your time.
I cut each color individually and then layer the vinyl on top of each other when it's applied
Thank you!!! I'm trying to finish last minute gifts and couldn't figure this out!!
Great video, thank you for your time.🙏
This is good info, however, it would be nicer if we could see it cut out then how to align it.
Yes! Wondering the same
I know. I'm not sure what to do now. They're 2 separate. Then when I weld them or attach them it changes the colour.
@@melissamontagliano2194 i know I make it and now what? lol i dont know how to print it
Same thing I was thinking

I love how you explained it all. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

this works great if you want your shadow to be black but will it keep the outlines around the font if I want the shadow layer to be white vinyl?
thank you...so ssimple so easy
do you have to print them out separately to get that design on your shirt and layer them
Thanks so much for this Kris ❤️ Inkscape & sil.. was not it !
Amazing!!! Thank you so much, this is so much easier. You are Amazing Thank You!
Pure genius!!! Thank you so much
Thanks so much for this! Worked a treat 😁
