When replacing a charcoal water filter (your in line hose filter), always, always, always, flush enough water through the new filter that the water runs clear before connecting the output side to your water system! That is even stated on the package instructions. In shipping and handling, the carbon particles get agitated enough that some of the carbon chips off and is evacuated with the first rush of water. When you do the initial flush, the first water that comes out is black. You do not want that in your water system!!

We have a park we've stayed at that is on a gravel pit. After a month, the first filter of 3, is as orange as an orange, then they get better after that one.
Wow, that's crazy. Must go through a lot of filters.

Well I'm suprised Dave missed changing the filter for so long , not like him at all, nice easy job , I made it 3 beers , 1 for each filter and 1 if course for having to go back outside to turn the water back on 😂👊

Never drink the water unless we run it through our Berkey filter…..Quick question, are you using a water D ionizer or is that a water softener you have sitting on the ground?
We some others that love their Berkey. That's a water softener.
Didn’t notice a water pressure gauge. Do you use one? Is it plumbed in line somewhere?
Good catch! I just broke mine and have another one on order. But normally would be attached first to the faucet.
