KEF Sound Lab Presents Masters of Sound - Tom Salta

Crafting a soundtrack is so much more than just creating sounds. Soundtracks can score viewers’ emotions and connect them to what’s happening on screen. Tom Salta knows all about this. In this first episode of our Masters of Sound series, we sit down with the award-winning composer, producer, and songwriter.
Salta talks us through his five-step process and reminds us how important it is to allow ourselves to play a bit while creating. According to his philosophy, being playful is far more rewarding than we could ever imagine.
The multi-hyphenate has been honoured by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP). He has also been nominated for a BAFTA, and his works have featured in some of the world’s most widely-played video games, including Arkane Studios’ "Deathloop", Ubisoft’s "Prince of Persia", and the record-breaking PlayerUnknown’s "Battlegrounds", which has over 700 million players worldwide.
