- The first duel between Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter in the Deathly Hallows part 2 (of course not their first duel ever!) It's amazing to see with how much ease Voldemort casts his spells don't you think?

I love how at 0:22, Narcissa just grabs Draco's hand and starts to leave even as her sister is feet away trying to rally and yell at the Deatheaters to make them stay.
Narcissa knows that she has to get her son to safety. Mother’s instinct I presume.

I just love the way narcissa grabbing Draco’s hand and walking away, without even looking over her shoulder to make sure either Lucius or bellatrix are following them .
Lucius and Bellatrix deserve all bad things. Lucius for the torture him wife and son had to endure their entire lives. Bellatrix for everyone she's put through hell
I can't think Narcissa imagined for a moment Bellatrix would follow them. If this battle had ended differently, Voldermort would have sent Bellatrix to... prune her family tree.

Confringo can block out a whole group of people
he did the spell to do at least something to the snake, he knew since it is a spell that bounces he hit the snake and let it hit the death eaters to give the wizards a hand in the second half of the wizarding war
The snake was under the protection of Voldemort. No spell can kill it (a horcrux) thus the confringo spell bounced and knocked some of Death Eaters. Remember when Hermione used confringo spell to Nagini during their visit to Grodics Hallow it broke Harry's wand.

Sorry to contradict some of you, but in my opinion, I don't see the Malfoys as cowards. I see this scene as the realization of them being in the wrong side and giving up on fighting a war they didn't even cared about. It's true. They disdained Harry but not the point of wanting to kill him themselves. Malfoys are just some misunderstood wizards with prejudices and arrogance.

Harry held his own in the duel with Voldemort here . Defending all his killing curses perfectly
Voldemort only shot 1 killing curse the other ones were unknown spells and plus he was using the elder wand whixh harrry owned even if a killing curse hit him it wodn t matter even more so harry is the master of death so he is immortal in a fair fight the duel would end in minutes if not seconds

It's because the elder wand didn't want to kill it's master, that's why Voldemort wasn't really doing anything effective when fighting Harry.

@@arnoldmendoza3907 i don't think so. Eventhough Voldemort would have used his own new wand that has different core to Harry's, Harry would have been able to block the killing curse. Because you can block it by making the curse collide with your own spell that is in a form of projectile.

Can anyone else hear Bellatrix screaming in the background for the retreating Death Eaters to come back? I couldn't even see her but Helena Bonham Carter was so devoted to her role that she was still acting even whilst she wasn't on screen. Bellatrix is a sadistic lunatic but for all her faults, you have to admire her loyalty. She was fighting a losing battle, and in the books she was the last Death Eater standing, but she would never abandon Voldemort.
Also I love Voldemort's reaction as he realizes that several of his Death Eaters are abandoning him. It's like he wants to go after them but he also doesn't want to let Harry escape him yet again.

I think I heared that the actor was Ill while shooting some scenes and they tried to solve this in post production.

Not necessarily. Voldemort's power is internally recognized by Harry's internal power since the duel in Goblet of Fire. As noted, the only way Voldemort can truly touch Harry by magic is if Harry sacrificed himself as it is willingly. By magic, Voldemort cannot touch Harry; this happened in Deathly Hallows during the Battle of the Seven Potters when Harry's wand acted on its own. It is a natural defense that Harry has against him, which is why Voldemort wanted the elder wand but even J.K. Rowling herself said that Harry being the master of the elder wand wouldn't have mattered because he had a natural and automatic defense by magic against Voldemort's powers. This is shown when Voldemort attacks Harry with Lucius' wand instead of his own--nothing happened because regardless of whatever wand Voldemort used, Harry had that natural defense against him. Even I think the Elder wand, if Voldemort had won mastership of it, wouldn't have worked against Harry.

If that's true that's bad writing. What's the point of writing all that series if Harry never truly was in danger. JK should have at least made Harry vulnerable at some state.

I wonder what your main point in writing a series is, then? Is it merely entertaining the crowd to you? If that is the case, then you didn't get the point of the Harry Potter series. JK Rowling was in deepest depression when she started writing the series because of her mother's slow but irreversible decline and eventual death, and because she was a divorced and unemployed single mother of a daughter. In short, she had hit rock bottom. She wrote the series not only to entertain you but mainly to get out of that slump and to deal with her dearly beloved mother's death.
Hence the theme that mother's love and love in general are stronger than everything else, and that it will prevail no matter what the stakes are. That is the main message of the story. It is shown Lily's sacrifice that casts a protection on Harry and runs through his veins. Voldemort will never be able to kill him as long as this protection is kept alive. As Voldemort uses Harry's blood to resurrect, the protection will only vanish when Voldemort dies. So he can never harm Harry. Perfectly logical and believable, and thus brilliant writing.
Besides, we only get to know that after Voldemort tries to kill Harry in the forest so you do still get hugely entertained. But that wasn't the main point of the series. And that is what makes Harry Potter from good to one of the greatest pieces in literature.
TTUploads No it's not. It was something that was written in, something that Dumbledore recognised in book 4. Harry is protected from the magic of Voldemort because the same blood lis in both of them and therefore his mother's protection still remains. Harry, however, was always still in danger. He could have been killed by anyone else, and it was only because of Voldemort's pride that he lost. No one knew this until very near the end of the last book.
Lel Uchiha I honestly agree with much of what you said. I love the series but the final conflict to me was anti climactic in the book since, not only was Harry hiding the whole time until Voldemort was the last standing, but he had so much magic protecting him. There was no real conflict since Harry was gonna win no matter what
I appreciate what they changed in the film. He actually had to fight him off enough until nagini was killed. It raised the stakes. Cuz honestly I would NOT have wanted to see exactly what happened in the book. This was a change I’m happy they made.
