Matt is awsome on his own songs. He could be good at Adam's songs too, but he is missing the most important thing. Emotion. He doesn't feel what's behind those lyrics. Adam wrote these songs when he was going through rough phases of his life, he feels the pain in every single letter of those songs, and you can hear it, EVERY damn time!
So many people bashing Matt for singing Adam’s songs, but god damn he has improved tremendously over the past decade. Sure some emotion is missing, but he has the tune and energy. I actually enjoy it and cant wait to see him sing at the upcoming tour with Shinedown
I personally feel if the front man leaves the band then the band should repackage itself under a different name when they get a new vocalist in......it's just not the same otherwise.
