    The impression is given that both the music and the video are from John Chowning's project. Those sort of visuals were not possible in 1977. You are right, the video is an appropriate accompaniment (better than a static album cover) and it it would also be appropriate to credit the video to its creator and/or software.

    I think you'll find water was around a while before 1977. If you click on the uploaders link you will see many more videos with images that haven't been created by the composers and aren't credited. People do that on RUclips a lot.

    Well there are modulations and waves - and in a way it helps one meditate on the sound without distraction - what would you suggest?

    The video is a nice loop but has nothing to do with John Chowning or (I suspect) 1977.
