the first version I played was actually blue but Pearl was the first one I "really" started to dive into the pokemon universe. I made so many good memories through this game

I really appreciate diamond and pearl as they paved the way for the rest of the gen 4 games, but imo heart gold and soul silver are the best Pokémon games and still my favourite games to this day
Generation 4 as a whole was the best Generation imo, with Gen 3 being a close second. DPP was amazing and I love the characters, story, music, and pokemon introduced. HGSS are still considered by many people including myself to be the best remakes in the series.

The initial announcement of the gen 4 remakes was rough. But now that gamefreak/IICA have shown actual improvements to the game, I'm very excited to experience Sinnoh with a fresh coat of paint :)

Man, this is taking me back to 2011-2012. I was a small child, loved Mario Kart, didn't even know what a DS was, couldn't name a Pokemon other than Pikachu. Even though I never played DPP, I still get that vibe from this.
