Pro glass 2:1 epoxy kit: fiberglassware... Use fast hardener if you live in the PNW!
Black pigment: fiberglassware...
Fumed Silica: fiberglassware...
Any mixing cups, gloves, and popsicle sticks for mixing will work!

I’m dying to reinforce my ski cause I can’t afford a Rickter and also can’t afford to blow my ski out….hard to live in oceanside and not be able to ride surf cause I don’t have the right tool for the job!!!

I have my SJ in roughly the same state and just stumbled across this video, i'm blown away by the laser cut glass pieces! Pleease please have them available or atleast the files! I'd love to do it right the first time while everything is stripped down
Sorry for the delay, our friend Jared (in the video) has those files. We haven’t given them away yet, and he’s currently unable to make new fiberglass ones. We’ve been talking about making a paper template kit, but the demand seems tiny.
I could use this setup!! I’ll happily pay if we can come to an agreement in what it’s worth to you to do the work?? I’m out in Oceanside CA and really need this….
@@swank171 I'm working on putting together the Fiberglass kit, CNC cut and ready to go. Figuring out the best way to ship them without making them ridiculously expensive is a challenge. Using a template would be do-able but still a pain in the ass cutting all that fiber. Cutting 6-ounce cloth with a template and keeping the fibers looking decently aligned would be quite a challenge for people. I want to deliver the full kit, CNC cut and ready to go. I'm hoping to have them ready to ship in the next month or so.

Sick video! I will be swapping my square nose and buying nice round nose and my 701 swap. My question is will make pump and mid shaft and most other stuff work aside from buying water box?
Thank you! Most of the important parts will transfer over and work just fine, with the exception of midshaft housing and waterbox. If you get a 2008+ hull you will need a different driveshaft, and depending on the handle pole you may need a different steering cable. Check out our RN vs SN comparison video for more info!
Awesome video. So what would make the foam get wet in a 2014 ski and how do you know when its waterlogged foam? Do you have any good videos for cutting out the tray but leaving the original support structures in place. That way you can replace the foam and decie what to cut and what to leave once you can see it all..
Also, is that laser-cut fiberglass layer reinforcement kit, in the beginning of the video @2:15, for sale at all? Or even the plans so we can make stencils with paper and cut out the spots in a fiberglass mat sheet

Thank you! Leaks can start from any of the through hull tubes: exhaust, steering, cooling, siphon. Check out our tray widening video for more info and ideas for how to fix a waterlogged ski. Unfortunately we don’t offer the fiberglass kits yet, but with some time and scissors you can achieve the same result.
Did you by chance weigh it before and after? Wonder how much weight the extra glass adds?
We didn’t weigh it, but we love heavy skis! They ride so much better in big surf! 🤙

I have a few questions. On a square nose would you grind the ribs down on tje sides amd also what did you use for the black pigment?
I think the material list is in the video description. But I haven’t looked in a long time! Let me know if you don’t find it.
@RSKI it's ok I already finished lol. I tried not to grind the ribs but it was a pain to lay with them.
