Great video and based on the replies this appears to be the ultimate question to ask Omni collectors. With a modest collection to compare, I must say the most difficult reading experience was House of M. The initial story was filled with imagination that hooked me into the second story - the tie-ins. That is where I got frustrated with the event. 3/4 of the way through, I felt a diagram on a whiteboard would be required to map it all out. I slogged through it however I must admit, it will be awhile before I am tempted to read it again.

10:37 Eve of Destruction was an OHC, so you know.
The worst omnibus I read was Marvel Now!, which I got not long after I had returned to comics following a long hiatus. I picked it up and assumed it would be a good "sampler pack" to determine what comics I might be interested in tracking down. Instead, I found myself only enjoying maybe 2 issues of the entire book and it encouraged me instead to avoid several comics. All set up, no payoff. I realize this is a compilation of first issues, but at least in the older comics, you could tell a complete and coherent story in a single issue and still have it set up the next one. Now everything takes 5 or 6 issues to even just begin telling a story, so there was little to take away from the book. And the fact that they had those [AR] (Augmented Reality) boxes covering artwork on every other page was also a huge annoyance. This is the only omnibus I gave away for free just to rid it from my presence. Not surprising I saw it show up at Ollie's about a year or two later for $12.99.

I put a large pillow on my lap and place the omni on the pillow. It work's great and it's comfortable. You really need to read Kirby's Fourth World to fully understand Final Crisis AND you should probably read Jim Starlin's Death of the New Gods limited series before the FC omnibus.

This probably isn't my least favorite ever but my least favorite I've read in the last year was the Venomnibus by Cates for me idgaf...I tried to read it twice and couldn't finish. I was actually really into to it for the first few issues, but for me there's too many retcon involving the symbiotes, too much fanfic style writing making Brock a Mary Sue and I hate Knull and everything involved with that character... every arc went way too long and when Absolute Carnage ended and was just a prelude for another event, i stopped reading and put it on eBay. The art was mostly fantastic, especially the Stegman stuff (loved him drawing his own sound effects) but the writing felt overblown and empty to me. I ended up reading the Roger Stern Spider-Man Omnibus afterwards and really enjoyed it, so i guess my taste runs more towards older stuff

For me, JLA by Grant Morrison was a disappointment. I hadn't read any Justice League before really, except for Crisis on Infinite Earths, and I heard a lot of good about this one. I'm more of a Marvel guy than DC, but I enjoy Batman and Superman a lot. Grant Morrison however is pretty hard to get into for me. All-Star Superman was great. Every other storyline of X-Men was awesome. I liked Arkham Asylum but the Batman omnibuses were a bit hit and miss and got too convoluted in the end. So, that's what I expected from JLA. But it was for the most part just boring. Some storylines were great, but I would rather just have picked up the paperbacks for them. Also, some of the more interesting issues weren't even written by him! Well, it felt like a bad introduction to the Justice League and I will try somewhere else. As for now, I'm still more of an Avenger fan that likes Batman and Superman. Geoff Johns made me like Green Lantern too, so I will add him to the few DC comics I like. JLA left my mind as soon as I finished reading it though.

I only buy an Omnibus of a storyline I know I like, all these newbies blind buying an Omnibus off the hat isn't recommended maybe try a smaller paperback first.

I love grant Morrison everything, love Frank Quietly too. That being said, The omni that I had an incredibly hard time reading was Death of Superman. I’ve yet to finish lol

Ultimate Spider-Man by Bendis has horrible dialogue. It’s cheesy and dated. It reads like it was meant for little kids. I bought volumes one and two based on positive reviews and had to labor through them just because I spent money on them.

Marvel silver/bronze age omnis. I had ASM vol 1 and FF vol 2 by Stan Lee, and gave them away. They are historical and a collector's dream, but I'm a comic book reader first and foremost and don't dig the silver/bronze era so much.

You bought spider man tangled web way back when and I bought it because it was going for super cheap at like $30-$40 also just because and I would have to agree with your old opinion. Not worth it

I wasn’t a fan at all of Batman grant Morrison run. The 2nd omnibus made me so annoyed it was so confusing for me.

I liked it in singles, but hated it in omnis. (I think Volume 1 is fine but when Bruce gets zapped it turns into a half baked mess and not because it's hard to understand, it's just underdeveloped and poorly written imo

The ultimates omnibus was my least favourite. The storyline was okay but I couldn't deal with the characterization. Cap was a jealous control freak and Hulk was a rapists and homophobe! But the art was class

I’m going to say Miracle Man. I read the whole thing but I was so glad it was over. Also, Superman by Grant Morrison. I loved the dog story in it though. I hold my book or put it on a small pillow. But some of these Omni’s they are saying I’m like what? Even if it’s bad though I still can’t sell it 😂 I love my collection.

With grant Morrison Batman run I think I enjoyed volume 2 the most I love the relationship between dick and Daimen I hated it when the the when Bruce Wayne came as in how it just intervened with the flow of the story
    I would say
The Flash volume 2 by Geoff johns
Justice league new 52 was so mid(except for Shazam and forever evil that was great)
Batman and robin by PT I loved it when robin was I there but when he died just fell flash for after that
