Just make a proper English breakfast, so easy. Baked beans, eggs, Canadian bacon, sausage (beef hot dog is similar), tomatoes, mushrooms, and fried bread. Best breakfast ever (although too heavy LOL). Don't knock it until you have tried it, it's fantastic when properly prepared. Best eaten in UK ; ) Americans may not appreciate it. It can be had all over Africa in the former British colony countries, very authentic. Love it!
I would insist on a hash brown or two as well. Tried the Scottish version (with added black pudding) once. Can't say I became a fan of this take on the blood sausage concept or having it for breakfast (the rest was good, though). I prefer my native blood sausage variant which is made with rye flour and barley "flakes" (similar to oatmeal) and flavoured with caramelised sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and raisins (because the blood in the sausage really doesn't taste of much or that good by itself).
In England these cans of breakfast are usually only £1 or £1.50, so they're really cheap. Also, in England, 6g of salt is the "RDA" (recommended daily allowance), so whilst this still isn't great, it's about 66% of the RDA here (which is still very high.) Personally, I LOVE these things. They're great if you pour it over a piece of buttered toast, adding a fried egg or two on top, and adding a few extra fried mushrooms. 👌👌👌
this reminds me of the first time i got sick from cheap baked beans. i thought this'd be somewhat decent and it was fairly cheap (about £1.00) so i bought a few cans and stocked them in the cupboard incase of a power-cut or something like that. at one point i didn't get a chance to go shopping, and i had run out of food in the house, except these tins of hunger breaks, different types too, i believe one is called "the full monty", let me tell you, that was about three years ago, and i still get a cramp in my stomach just thinking about them. don't let this spoil your idea of our food here in england though, sunday roast dinners would make you nut like a geyser.
Got to say, these don’t feature in my regular food cupboard. But? When camping (which I do three or four times a year), these are actually pretty welcome. Easy to heat, quick to scoff, minimum washing up.
I'm from Liverpool , I live near where these things are made . Now there's a lot of shite in these , but on toast I absolutely love it , the nugget is a mini Scotch egg , we injest worse things than canned brekkies , let's face it
USMC 1990 definitely a survival chow that can be stored and eaten. That one meal can sustain good energy most of the day due to the beans high protein content. Underrated quality
I've bought omething similar in the past called the full monty. tbh tinned meals aren't gonna be amazing and healthy for what you pay for them. tbh it ain't that bad. last resort food.
When you are in the mood its great, satisfying and hits the spot better than cereal. Tip, never microwave tinned food, it's always better heated up in a pan.
I got drunk and arrested and put in a cell overnight. In the morning they gave me one of these, and i asked for another xD they taste pretty good considering its ina can.
+littlemissmakeup075 You're absolutely right, i knew it was one and went on a hunch. except where im from they dont say walmart but has half of walmarts sun logo top left of the asda name
It's been a while since I enjoyed a tinned breakfast. Me and ma pal (who got the veggie one, complete with "omelette") played Silent Hill 3 till we fell asleep, woke up, skinned up, cooked these up and completed the game. What a way to start a day.
I like the fact that you're not a very picky eater. I can relate more to your food videos than most, but with my genetics eating a bunch of canned pork, beans, and salt wouldn't be wise.
***** Thanks for making the videos. I don't have a lot of disposable income, so seeing those hidden gems like the canned ground beef, is quite useful for me. I can't eat out everyday, healthwise, but I work as much as I can (around 65 hours a week). Having a decent meat with a good shelf life is great for those quick and dirty dinners between sleep and work when I don't have the energy or time to make a trip to the grocery, which is most of the time.
Sulfen Sure, but I have familial high cholesterol and triglycerides, I'm by no means rich, and the nature of my work makes fresh foods at all times unfeasible. Canned food is often the difference between going hungry or fast food. It's very helpful to know what's good and what's not for the working plebs like me.
Edward Marshall When I travel a lot I get an ice cooler and fill it halfway with ice and store fresh fruits and vegetables and some meat in there. It's possible to eat well. Cheaper than canned food if you eat a lot of vegetables.
Late to the party here, but in Europe, salt means salt equivalent, not sodium. The daily recommended maximum salt intake is 6 grams. 40% of the weight salt is sodium, and 40% of 6 is 2.4 grams. Which is close to the 2,500mg of sodium RDA you would be more familiar with in the US.
The 'bacon' looks more like the Strasbourg sausage in a vacuum pack you find in a supermarket. I love my canned baked beans mixed with other stuff but I don't buy it in cans like that. I'd rather add sausage, meatballs and bacon to ordinary baked beans - a much more satisfying result. A few years ago Heinz in Australia launched baked beans (and spaghetti) with added sausages or meatballs. Tried it and while the beans or pasta was the same the meat products - well it's like Homer Simpson with a plain rice cake. 'Hello, taste?' Continued adding stuff separately - works every time.
The egg in the pork look like they were trying to make a Scotched Egg. What you do is to hard boil an egg then peel and wrap with ground sausage and fry till done or crispy on the outside, It is a very old recipe but very popular in England, Scotland, and Ireland. As a professional chef I have presented them on several breakfast menus in 4 and 5 star restaurants here in America
Niacin Thiamine are B vitamins. Mammals don't produce them but our bodies need them, they're usually in our foods. I think they basically feed flour to yeast and bacteria or something like that and they produce it and then we harvest it. I bet it's a byproduct of beer. The other one is calcium for us it's basically the same or is eggshells. I have an experiment for you could you peel a potato and throw it in there or into any food that's too salty add some water and see if absorbed the saltiness?
That's a shit ton of sodium in that mystery meat can!!! No doubt, it will get you by in a pinch. Great video Larry! I enjoyed the comment on King George's song, " ocean front property" lol. 👍😀
Canadian bacon....my 16 year old even knew that. Anyway the meat flavor gets lost as it's all in a can mixed in with other stuff. Also the SAUSAGE if this an European variant of it, it does not taste anything CLOSE to what it taste like in the USA. I even had to get used to the USA break-fast sausages when i had them for the first time (fennel taste)
These cans of "all day breakfast" ain't too bad, we usually get a few cans when camping. Its made in the UK so much better quality than something for the same cost made in the US.
@@darrengarcia4937 Actually, I'm referring to the much stricter laws we have regarding food hygiene, farming standards and product labeling. For example, the practice of using chlorine to kill bacteria on poultry is illegal over here due to it's links to lower standards for hygiene. Its also illegal for egg suppliers to wash them as it removes a protective layers from the shell which can if removed, allow bacteria to get inside and contaminate the yolk. I understand that eggs are always kept refrigerated to attempt to circumvent this whereas, over here it isn't required. There's also many laws regarding what is considered food. The US permits way more E numbers and artificial flavours, colours and preservatives some even have proven to be carcinogenic. Then there's labeling... you can't call something a name if it contains less than a set amount of that item. Here's a couple of examples. A beef burgrr legally must contain a minimum of 62% meat. Any less and legally can't be called a Beef Burger. Subways "bread" is legally classified as confectionery as it contains too much sugar, I think it's the same for McDonald's too... they legally can't call it a bread as it doesn't fit the strict laws of definition. Bonus: A Cornish Pasty, a popular meat filled pastry which all around the UK was called a Cornish Pasty until about 15 years ago, can only be legally called a Cornish Pasty if it was made in Cornwall. If they are made elsewhere, they have to be called something else. So yeah... you may think we have bland food... I'm guessing you haven't actually visited the UK as English cuisine is actually made up from a variety of dishes from around the world, it isn't just the stereotypical fish and chips, meat and two veg, what ever you believe we eat. We just have legally higher standards to what we will classify as food.
As horrific as this stuff looks, I have to admit to staggering to the local corner shop in my early 20's on several occasions when suffering from a horrendous hangover, buying a can of this as the only half edible thing in the shop, cooking it and throwing it all on several slices of heavily buttered bread before devouring the lot. I'm not proud of it, but when the vodka hangover hunger hits, you have devour whatever you can get your hands on and this has saved my (ungodly processed) bacon on many occasions.
omg I swear I ate this stuff (minus the meatballs mushrooms and bacon) a lot back in the day when I was poor because it was cheap. slap some rice on it and it's good to go. it definitely passes as food but when you're past that point in life you just don't go back. many viewers here are probably quite privileged and probably don't have to rely on eating stuff like this to survive
No single person invented bacon, but the first records of cured pork originate in ancient China. The word “bacon” was used starting in the 17th century to refer to any type of salted and smoked pork belly.
We call it Canadian bacon, but it's not particularly popular in the U.S. Belly bacon (what the British call "streaky bacon") is way more common and popular here.
2:40 English bacon is similar to Canadian bacon but usually just a bit fattier. Bacon means something completely different in America just like Jelly does. Go to the UK and ask for jelly and you're going to get something that's much more like jam.

Either way if there is a high amount of sodium from msg they would still label it as salt afaik.

Love it!
I really want to have the real deal one day! Thanks for watching!
Also, in England, 6g of salt is the "RDA" (recommended daily allowance), so whilst this still isn't great, it's about 66% of the RDA here (which is still very high.)
Personally, I LOVE these things.
Nut like a geyser? Fuvking weirdo
As an English dude, I'm laughing so hard because I had that Full Monty thing once and it made me sick too. All that stodgy dense food in one can.
I like nut
Also by boiling it, lots of flavors went away!!thats why it says do not boil on the can!
how can flavor go away? flavor cant evaporate, only water can
@@RockBandVlds lol
If 30sec of high heat remove the flavor, there wasn't any to begin with.
Got to say, these don’t feature in my regular food cupboard. But? When camping (which I do three or four times a year), these are actually pretty welcome. Easy to heat, quick to scoff, minimum washing up.
I'm from Liverpool , I live near where these things are made .
Now there's a lot of shite in these , but on toast I absolutely love it , the nugget is a mini Scotch egg , we injest worse things than canned brekkies , let's face it
I actually had this before. Different brand but same ingredients and it was actually yummy. I would eat it again for a quick eat.
USMC 1990 definitely a survival chow that can be stored and eaten. That one meal can sustain good energy most of the day due to the beans high protein content. Underrated quality
I do like how the ingredient list actually lists the % of each ingredient.
European food standards, pal
I've bought omething similar in the past called the full monty. tbh tinned meals aren't gonna be amazing and healthy for what you pay for them. tbh it ain't that bad. last resort food.
When you are in the mood its great, satisfying and hits the spot better than cereal. Tip, never microwave tinned food, it's always better heated up in a pan.
I'm enjoying this series a little to much Larry! I can't wait for the next one, but I'll worry for your health. as Sal would say, You Rock!

Yeah I actually liked this one!

Looks good to me. I'd love this after hiking 20 miles.
I like the fact that you're not a very picky eater. I can relate more to your food videos than most, but with my genetics eating a bunch of canned pork, beans, and salt wouldn't be wise.
I love trying new and weird things. But you're right none of us should eat a lot of canned foods! Thanks for watching Ed.
It's not wise for any human to eat canned anything regardless of genetics.
'Hello, taste?'
Continued adding stuff separately - works every time.

Is it bad that I want to try this now?
Not at all, it wasn't bad! Thanks for watching!
Its sold in the UK and its really not bad at all. In fact its pretty good and tastes pretty fresh for something in a can.

Anyway the meat flavor gets lost as it's all in a can mixed in with other stuff. Also the SAUSAGE if this an European variant of it, it does not taste anything CLOSE to what it taste like in the USA.

These cans of "all day breakfast" ain't too bad, we usually get a few cans when camping. Its made in the UK so much better quality than something for the same cost made in the US.
Yeah like the UK is known for their wondeful "cuisine"
Bonus:
A Cornish Pasty, a popular meat filled pastry which all around the UK was called a Cornish Pasty until about 15 years ago, can only be legally called a Cornish Pasty if it was made in Cornwall.
The guarantee is it was produced in the EU with actual standards. Most US food is banned in Europe.
Hello from 2021

As horrific as this stuff looks, I have to admit to staggering to the local corner shop in my early 20's on several occasions when suffering from a horrendous hangover, buying a can of this as the only half edible thing in the shop, cooking it and throwing it all on several slices of heavily buttered bread before devouring the lot.
I'm not proud of it, but when the vodka hangover hunger hits, you have devour whatever you can get your hands on and this has saved my (ungodly processed) bacon on many occasions.
