I love the trailer. I want fiberglass because they’re built better less leeks. I love those windows. I love the interior. I think that’s gonna be my by now. I’ve been waiting to get something, but I just couldn’t decide on it and that seems to be the perfect size too thank you for sharing. I love it😊
When the bed was lifted I spotted the wiring being routed through plastic looming. We spent several years in the Airstream world and lived (barely survived) with “rats nest” wiring. Good on Escape for taking the time and resources to install the wiring properly. We currently own a Leisure Travel Van, also a Canadian manufacturer, and all the wiring in the coach is also loomed and secured to walls and fixtures. Maybe it’s a Canadian thing to do the job right in the first place. Bigfoot also make a well built coach as well.
Great eye. That was the single thing I was MOST impressed with on this unit. I haven't even showed the best of it yet! Having had two Airstreams ourselves, and then getting an even worse product with the Jayco we had, I am blown away at the wiring on this trailer. They just do them right. LTV and Bigfoot are also wonderful units. There really is something about these products made up north... 🤔
We spent several hours looking at one of these and up front they are impressive. But, we've spent over 200 days of the year since 2019 traveling in our tear drop so we bring a lot of experience to the table when we look at new rigs. My wife noticed that many of the overhead cabinets are not deep and barely had space for two rolled towels. In the dining area we looked for power outlets and the only one we could find by the table was under it against the seat. Bad placing as anyone sitting on the beach seat could hit the plug with their calf. The only power outlets in the bedroom area are overhead ones, so any cable you plug in is going to dangle in your face. Contrary to appearances, the bathroom/shower is small. While the medicine cabinet can hold some basics, there is no where to store towels, extra toilet paper, etc. We REALLY wanted to like the Escape 23 for the living space (ours is 15') but for the money, we just were not getting anything more than what we have (minus a few feet of space). The one we looked at had an awesome solar package with the advertisement it would power the A/C. Salesman up front said duration was dependent on outside temperature and what the inside temperature was when the a/c turned on. On the day we visited it was 97 outside and inside about 81. We spent several hours with the a/c on battery with a full charge but after about 2 or so hours, it was at 1/4 power. The salesman was great, we were very impressed with the craftsmanship of the Escape, but for us, we just didn't gain that much from what we currently have.
Love your Escape 23 F2. We are ordering out soon..all electric, induction stovetop, entire roof with solar, plus additional lithium batteries… happy travels!!!
Thanks!! Good choices, and I suspect your fridge will be a little larger as well. It sounds like we have the same goals overall there, funny enough. We have a little portable electric stove that we'll be using in the summers, adding in our existing lithium batteries on to these, which are proving to be really solid so far, and we have some serious work to do on the solar configuration, but I'm hoping to have a great setup solar-wise! I'd love to know how you enjoy your new trailer once you have it as well!
Fantastic! First off, Pam and I looked at these when we were shopping. The first excellent thing that they fixed which made it a deal breaker was the awning arm blocking the side window! It was great to see they figured that out! The windows are fantastic too! The acrylic that you can open 90 degrees, and the dual shades is the best. The choice to add the front window is a must as well! Great choice! Everything was great, great, great! And finally, the build quality! You can roll that sucker off a cliff and brush it off and move back in! Congratulations!
Oh yeah. We thought about the electric awning but just didn't want to risk that should something go wonky with it. I'm glad that they moved the forward arm on this though! Yep, it's definitely a very nice unit!
Hi Emma & Joel, Congratulations! Great new home! Wish you all the best with it. I also hope that you can organise the operation of two vehicles well, also because you can't park them everywhere for a long time. And travelling with both doesn't look like parking, but more like camping…
Congratulations! It's just what I expected you'd get once you were in Canada 😆 I LOVE IT! Extremely jealous as this is exactly what I want. Love all the choices you guys made.
This is awesome I really like these trailers, between Airstream, Lance, and Escape they’re a decent amount of similarities. Obviously airstream owned by Thor isn’t awesome. And Lance isn’t its own either so I like that about Escape! That aluminum frame is really cool! Torsion suspension they all share too. Really cool guys congrats! I recently learned that the EZ Lube axles need to be done annually and don’t just squeeze lube in the fitting, inspect them. Can’t wait to see more on it and see it towed by the truck!
Thanks!! Yeah, finding something not owned by Thor or Forest River is a rarity, and the quality definitely shows. It's not just about the bottom line and profits, but being able to make a good product while still staying in business, of course. I'm working on the next videos now!
I wonder if a memory foam mattress will be too heavy to lift to access the under bed storage area. My memory foam mattress is a beast. I live the trailer. Fiberglass is a great material. 🎉
As we've learned, the existing mattress is heavy enough as is, with a regular memory foam I don't think we're ever lifting that thing again! 😂 And thanks!!
Ah, you must have missed it, we mentioned that though we're not trying to sell them so we wouldn't break anything down lol ours was right around $68K once we added everything that we wanted, and this model starts at $60K.
That is small, where are the dogs gonna lay down? Did you say the truck is going to be your solar rack? The new adventure begins, looking forward to the new modification, build out videos.
We did look at them and made two videos on them actually! We decided against them for a few reasons, such as the OVR Navigate being the only unit that we saw with a bed at the front but only offering what amounts to an airgap for insulation while being aluminum exterior sheeted, not great in the cold and heat and being in the PNW we wanted to avoid, along with using materials that weren't great for the price. A lot of MDF and particleboard in the construction, which was unfortunate. They're pretty nice units, but they didn't inspire the confidence that we were looking for at all.
@@CozyLivingMachine makes sense. And the cabinet trim falls off the cabinets and has been doing it since 2018. I called them and they claimed they never heard of it. I was in a new unit during the summer and again at an indoor show and both had strips either on the ground or just missing on the cabinet door edges. Sad considering how well they are constructed otherwise!
I like what you both say at 17:00. If anyone knows what they’re looking for based on experience, research and intelligence, it’s you both. I’m really looking forward to what this unlocks. Side question, it looked like your interior LED was slightly warm. Was it? I was truly nauseated by the end of the day. I didn’t realize I was the last person on earth preferring incandescent or at least very convincing deep warm LEDs.
Thank you!! Much appreciated there. And good eye! They are warm. I suspect the camera cooled them down a bit, but it is a nice, warm glow and they applied this consistently to all lights other than the bathroom light and the stove lamp, which I suspect would have much fewer options for color temperature. I know what you mean though!!
I know it, it seems like a no brainer! This one offers a ton of room for outside things and we don't miss any outdoor storage bays at all. Granted, it transfers some weight to the tongue/truck, but not an issue for a 2500/3500.
Because this unit has an enclosed underbelly, we added in the extra spray foam insulation underneath and it does have dual pane windows and the amount of insulation all around, I would say yes. However, being that there is no legal or common definition for four season RVs, it would be better to compare unit to unit. I have full confidence that it would meet or exceed most other units!

This layout looks like the European caravans, would be great if the sell this in Europe
I would love if the American RV mfrs would take the entire book from those European RV mfrs. It's embarrassing to see the quality differences along with how much more efficient those layouts can be!
We ordered it on October 22nd and it was ready for pickup officially on January 9th, though there was a break in there for the holidays and such, of course.
Isn't that mattress an odd shape, customized so the lower corners are rounded? I don't know that your other mattress would work in there with it's right angle corners. Just sayin
This mattress does have angled cuts on two bottom edges, but otherwise it seems to be identical to any other one. I'll show it a little better in the next video but I suspect we could get a regular mattress in here if we needed to, or use a memory foam unit and trim it down!

if we're to buy the Escape 23 F2 in India certain aspects of a camper caravan needs to be addressed . . . we couldn't have the built-in gas oven or stove in the Escape 23 F2 due to some stringent Indian road safety regulations . . . meaning we cannot carry propane in our camper vehicles & caravan in India & as a result we cannot carry gas oven or stove either . . . a small microwave, tea/coffee maker & refrigerator . . . no lavatory or cassette toilet however we could do with a built-in shower module . . . as for the sink it can be retained or removed, not a must have necessity but the black water tank will be retained as well . . . the Escape 23 F2 caravan frame will have to be reinforced for greater torsional rigidity & enhanced stiffness . . . a beefed up 4-wheel tandem suspension featuring stiffer springs & shocks and a proper 2.0 in. suspension lift . . . 16.0 in. wheels shod with all terrain radial tyres . . .
Emma felt the same way, so we'll see how she likes it! So far, it's not a big deal. I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum where I LOVE wet baths because they stay much cleaner. 🤘
