Throughout the song she keeps looking for excuses to spend more time there and the guy knows she wants to stay and is giving her the greenlight. That was incredible, I vividly remember the Stacy's Mom song. The early 2000's was a hell of a time for music. All I really watched back then was MTV and BET. 💯
Baby It's Cold Outside is a song about a love conversation between two playful people. There is no intimidation, force or threat. It is just a man letting a woman he is in a relationship with know that he finds her very attractive and is light-heartedly and (clean humorourdly) letting her know he is ready for the next stage If she is...but no heavying, insulting, swearing or belittling degradation is spoken. It's cute harmless flirting between both. As a woman I would find this situation very reassuring and appealing as the signal given is that the desire for intimacy is stated but it is entirely up to me to consent or decline, with affectionate respect from both.
Not gonna lie tho I can remember sitting in my living room watching this music video everyday after school on trl. Those were the absolute best times and people were so much happier back then. The internet has honestly ruined everyone and cell phones. It's so sad
It's actually been proven to be beneficial to your children to show body positivity and not hide or act insecure. So being confident and happy in your skin is a good mom move. Plus its not real. But bikinis are okay 👍
This song is a funny song, and it would be right too if the original song it is referring to was actually about a predatory adult, but Stacy’s Mom was about a young boy and his imagination. This is reflected in the song’s video and lyrics, (even though a lot of people appear to want to remember the alternative way).
Yeah and it would result in a suspended sentence, a stern talking-to and finger-wag from the judge, if recent cases of female teacher predators are anything to go by.

First off I have bowling for soup on regular rotation on Spotify, Stacy's mom is one of their tamer songs tbh, plus if you break the sing down its simply a teenage boys fantasy of older women, which is statistically and ridiculously common whether its friends moms, teachers,or in my case back in the early 99s when I was about 13 the 20 something weird goth chick that worked at the book store I bought stuff from daily even though I rarely read anything but comics at the time lol
Stacey’s Mom never did anything though. She was just living her life and a teenage boy was lusting after her. I guess she could stop having him over if she realizes that he’s into her. But the song implies that she’s oblivious to him, and he’s the one hyper-fixating on her and any interactions they have.
Yeah I think more people need to watch the music video to get the context. She barely knew that kid existed and her daughter was the one that liked him. He was slick using her to get close to the mom.

I recently realized how bad the Pina colada song really was. It's about a guy who is willing to cheat on his wife with some girl from a newspaper ad and it turns out to be his wife. The bad part ensues when you think that the guy is willing to cheat on his wife with someone in the paper and his wife is trying to cheat on someone who saw the ad and no one questions it.
In that sense it's bad but the resolution is actually that they were always perfect for each other and just failed to be open with each other in their relationship. The moral of the story, if it has one, is that you may just have what you want right in front of you but haven't taken the effort to find that out.
The song is about him misconstruing the normal mundane things she does in his head because he thinks she likes him. From my perspective she didn’t seem to even know he existed.

@@sleazybtdhey. Um. Hey buddy. This is about liberals cancelling stuff. What delusion are you talking about?
Here's the reason this isn't cancelled, it's funny and for comedic purposes even though they sometimes cancel those too
😂😂😂 omg... I listened to that WAY too many times! So hilarious! 💯
The music video used to play on FUSE all the time! The early 2000s were amazing!
That song was amazing 😂😂
My 9 and 14 year old daughters sing their hearts out to this song when it pops up in my playlist. This and Your Love by The Outfield

Ben gets hotter everyday boys
That was incredible, I vividly remember the Stacy's Mom song. The early 2000's was a hell of a time for music. All I really watched back then was MTV and BET. 💯
Remember it vividly do ya hahahaha
For those of us that knew Stacy's moms..... it was a wonderful time.... and time again
Its true the things we realise only after we grow old , the things my older sisters friends used to say about me were weird af .
Thank you. That is a great song. Especially the version from Elf. I have watched that movie 10 times just for Zooey Deschanels' singing.
Not gonna lie tho I can remember sitting in my living room watching this music video everyday after school on trl. Those were the absolute best times and people were so much happier back then. The internet has honestly ruined everyone and cell phones. It's so sad
It's because it's not about a cougar hitting on a twelve year old. It's about a twelve year old lusting after his friend's mom.
Yes facts, thank you.
Gross
She knew what she was doin
Which is still wrong...
That is also messed up
"Stacy's Mom", is an excellent song & video.👍😎😉
To be fair, I'm like 99% certain this song is all about how one guy likes his buddy's mom, not the other way around.
Honestly he slayed 💅
Fr
Omg girl he did slay🤡🤡🤡
Yeah what does slay mean in this context? (Genuine)
@@fabertaleixo he was amazing
In fairness, if you watch the video it's clear the mom barely notices he exists let alone being interested.
I mean yeah.
But at the same time she takes off her clothes and a nude massage.
So.. yeah.
Why was she walking around the house like that at all? 😂 She has kids, it's not just her and her husband
It's actually been proven to be beneficial to your children to show body positivity and not hide or act insecure. So being confident and happy in your skin is a good mom move.
Plus its not real.
But bikinis are okay 👍
Stacy’s mom has got it going on and always will
This song is a funny song, and it would be right too if the original song it is referring to was actually about a predatory adult, but Stacy’s Mom was about a young boy and his imagination. This is reflected in the song’s video and lyrics, (even though a lot of people appear to want to remember the alternative way).
Stacy can't you see this could be a felony ✨✨
Yeah and it would result in a suspended sentence, a stern talking-to and finger-wag from the judge, if recent cases of female teacher predators are anything to go by.
@@redbaron07No, it'd be the boy charged with peeping on her since he's the one doing some shit.
@@MurasakiTsukimaru You can't (yet) charge a juvenile with just looking at someone and noticing that they've got it goin' on. "Peeping" means watching her when she has an expectation of _privacy_ , like in her bedroom or bathroom. Nothing in the song about that. You can't be arrested for "doing some shit" either, whatever that means.
I absolutely love 'Stacy's Mom'. Brilliant lyrics has me laughing every time.
Christine 16, and Wingers Seventeen aged wonderfully 😂
Ok, but Idgaf, I freaking love Stacy's Mom
Stacie and Scotty (from scotty doesn’t know) and jesse (from jesse’s girl) all need new friends, and maybe some therapy after what happened in these songs 💀💀
The mom never did anything, the boy just fantasized about her. There’s nothing to ‘cancel’
oh those pesky details
True but that didn’t stop them from canceling “baby it’s cold outside”
Same could be said about other songs and artists that have been canceled
He mentioned later in his parody (not shown here) that the kid had seen her in just a towel according to the song, that’s the part he was calling creepy because why was she in just a towel when she knew he would be here
I’m pretty sure in that scenario she had only a towel on, which is obviously wrong.
Reminds me of the south park episode where everyone is like "Nice"
It's such a great song, love his rendition of it.
Wow Brett is a real beauty 🫶
Yeah and one day she will have a kid, I wonder if she will name that kiddo Stacie, if it's a girl. Then she could be Stacie Mom. 😅😂😅😂😅😂
Her name is news mommy
❤nice jugs
Kids get crushes , thats what the song is about . Its ok to be beautiful and a mom , just have boundaries like any decent parent .Dont socialize with your kids friends , its not that hard 💖🙏💕
Don't dress like a prostitute in front of teenage boys and carry yourself with respect like a Mother should. Not accusing you of these things but when I was that age we didn't talk about friends Mom's who dressed modestly.
@@ryanrogers8211true hahaha we actually didnt talk about any mom. We were kids doing kids stuff like playing in a park and stuff. It was a whole different time then now. Sex wasnt even mentioned by anyone ever we had just fun outside.

Brett, those slugs are looking fab
🎶She's only 17, her Daddy said she's too young, but she's old enough for me! 😅 singer was in his 30's I think
He wrote it much younger, when he was like 19...
They still play, Baby it's Cold Outside, where I live.
That song is a certified bop come on. Brings me back to be a kid
RIP Adam Schlesinger (co-writer of this song and bassist for Fountains of Wayne). He was the 1st famous person I knew that died of COVID in 2020 early in the pandemic. He also wrote the theme song for the Tom Hanks movie *“That Thing You Do”.* Phenomenal pop songwriter.
That is the first thing I thought of as well. RIP, legend!
Wow I didn’t even knew he passed away. RIP.
Yes! I just posted same thing, definitely one of the 1st.
How about we just stop cancelling music in general. Y’all hear what’s in the radio now and people are worried about 30 year old songs. Give me a break. 🙄🙄🙄

My daughter’s name is “Grace” so I always used to sing this song to my wife as “Gracie’s mom, has got it going on”.
That's funny as hell!! Same exact thing I do with my wife, and our daughters name is Grace as well!!
This is hilarious. How does your daughter react when you sing it?
@@lilchristuten7568 at the time the song was released, she was about the same age as the kids in the video. It was a while ago but I’m pretty sure she thought it was funny.
I remember singing along to Stacy's mom as a kid and just not getting it. 😂
Exactly this song always gave the creeps, so did some 80's movies like Private Lessons, Blue Lagoon, & Pretty Baby
The moral of the story, if it has one, is that you may just have what you want right in front of you but haven't taken the effort to find that out.
we ALL had the hots for someone older when we were kids. I did, you did. I got no bad memories from it.
The idea was the way the mom was behaving
The song is about him misconstruing the normal mundane things she does in his head because he thinks she likes him. From my perspective she didn’t seem to even know he existed.

Come on, Brett. I'm gonna chalk this up to you being a chick and not a dude, but EVERY 12 or 13-year old (hetero) boy had a crush on an adult woman. We all did. It's a right of passage when you hit puberty and are filled to the brim with burgeoning hormones. Could be the mom of a friend. Could be a teacher. Could be girl down the street who just left for college. The song is perfect. No need to cancel it.
Couldn’t of said it better myself dude😂
But... Stacys mom was oblivious, the kid was the one with the crush. It was all in his head.
So many people don’t even know Stacey’s mom. It was everywhere when i was in jr high and nobody, not even people around my age know it.
