I had a mate who was convinced I’d woke up on his birthday fully aware of the fact it was his birthday and then purposely made sure I didn’t see him that day or wish him a happy birthday 😂 the idea I wouldn’t be aware like he was aware was one he wasn’t going to believe, I didn’t see him for about a month around it,
I said to him when it’s your birthday nothing happens to me it’s just another day. I don’t take note
He would let me down last minute every year on my birthday cus he just couldn’t be bothered and thought I was getting him back, truthfully speaking he wasn’t that important anymore and I just didn’t realise or see him anyway, but he never accepted i was unaware because i didn’t realise.

My view is that he's likely entirely innocent. But if he was looking? People have eyes. If you had a dude in a mankini, men and women would find themselves looking at things they really, really don't want to. A certain amount of looking would then be involuntary. There's a difference between someone who looks, tries no to, but would try harder if you were facing them. The motivation to not look requires that you accept that your gaze innately impugns or degrades, OR you're polite enough to try and make the other party feel comfortable and not demand their time or attention. Someone looking a little is different to someone walking behind you catcalling for 10 minutes ("situations that would warrant outrage").
I'm not a neurologist, but I had some idea that the brain has different systems working in competition. So I must respect this person would perhaps be concurrent with the animalistic. I think it might be outdated as model, but the old suggestion seemed to be that the reptile brain was nearer to the brain stem. I'll put it this way. In a romantic understanding you could view humans as half way between animals and angels. Expecting them to behave like animals has issues (to put it gently). Expecting them to behave that perfect angels that don't see physical beauty (until they're given permission to) might also be unrealistic. I just think if attraction is innately insulting, that would be bad news for marriage.
A couple years back there was a UFC weigh in. After the male fighter removed the bulk of his clothing for the weigh in, one of the ring girls looked like she was about to swallow her tongue. It was... odd. But I don't think she should have gone home, taken a whip, flagellated herself until her back bled, while thinking "YOU HAVE SINNED! SHAMEFUL INSECT. SIN!".

You have to ask permission in the US regardless, some states have individual laws of their own which are a slight variation of everywhere else based on local decisions but in the UK for private use you don’t have to ask permission, filming in certain places, public spaces, parks, Government and State organised events (the coronation etc.) and properties stadiums and arenas sell tickets with legal wavering of rights.
You’re much more free to film in the UK because the government and councils own more land and are responsible for more situations.
In America private business is more responsible for, what the British government has some control over, they take the permission away in every contract. It’s common sense things you can’t film in schools or into private properties
There’s less of a culture to sue, you could go to the law, but the courts wouldn’t pursue something without evidence of damages or harmful consequences, or intent to follow you, how viewed it is or is likely to be.
I had to look up if you can record phone conversations the other day it’s not illegal to record sound or picture, it becomes illegal through distribution and is only valid if damages are proved, you won’t get much punishment or compensation though, they make it not worth it.

Just pick a fixed spot and stare at it and completely ignore anyone who happens to be looking at you. That might seem a bit overblown just to avoid being featured in this sort of video, but most people probably deserve to be treated that way for some other reason, and I have no desire to have small talk with anyone anyway, so these sorts of influencers encouraging sociopathic/avoidance behavior only benefits me. You can still be polite and hold doors, return shopping carts, etc...just look completely away from the person while you do. It's actually pretty fun to try because you have to fight your natural inclinations to glance at someone, at least, so you can make it kind of a challenge.

    • @brandonjames412
      @brandonjames412 4 месяца назад

@@iamjacksselfloathing4857 I think you'd have trouble getting to defamation; although, it could be easier if the influencer in question speaks as to the 'FACT' of what someone who is staring at her is thinking, rather than her opinion. As long as she's only speaking to her opinion, then the video is actually evidence in her favor (as opposed to against her) and would only really hurt her if she used the video to make an incorrect factual assertion about the person.
Beyond that, the person filmed without their consent would have to be able to prove some sort of material (read: financial or personal) damages as a direct result of the defamation, or they wouldn't have a cause of action.
The good news is that juries in civil suits (though most don't make it to a trial) make their decision on a standard called, 'Preponderance of the evidence," which in this case, would mean that they only have to believe that the person was more likely than not defamed; they don't have to believe that the person was defamed beyond a shadow of a doubt. Also, the number of jurors and percentages might vary, by jurisdiction, but civil juries often don't have to unanimously find in favor of the Plaintiff. 3/4ths seems to be fairly common, so if twelve jurors, you would need nine.
One thing that I think some people forget is that these stores/gyms are OPEN TO the public, but aren't considered public venues, in the strictest sense.
I'll tell you this: If I owned an independent gym and an area influencer made a video like this (without my permission) about one of the other members, I'd talk to an attorney and try to find some grounds to sue her ass for loss of business. My case would be that she didn't have my consent to film there; she didn't have consent to use my gym for commercial purposes AND she has caused great financial harm to my business because people are afraid to become members of my gym due to being worried about being captured in one of these videos. I'd obviously find shills to lie and say they would be members of my gym, but are worried about being on such an influencer's video.

I was so happy to see this video. I literally just trolled women on facebook yesterday for wearing skimpy outfits just to trap men and then claim victimhood from it. It’s not okay or empowering to be wearing absolutely nothing out in public in the first place. How’s it empowering to you when you see yourself and what you’re wearing maybe twice and for like a couple minutes at most and then it’s everyone else who has to see it the rest of the time? You’re not empowering me by looking like a tramp. These ppl dress the way they do for attention. You can believe that. And men aren’t the only ones staring. I don’t feel comfortable when I see it and my husband is with me or my kids or grandkids. Period. My husband would never cheat anyway but that’s not the point. This is getting absurd. We should be mindful of impressionable children and complete strangers when we go out regarding how we dress. And we shouldn’t be dressing like this anyway outside of our home. As women we should definitely have more self respect.

For someone who is now scared of taking photos in Germany, because a random person walks in. Thats no problem, because to make it illegal the person has to be the "main" target of the picture and this is not the case when you take a picture of a building or a landscape and someone walks in. Its also okay to take photos of big groups, because again, its not an individual thats targeted.

Nominally, this is illegal in the states, too. However it only seems to be applied to film companies and other professional organizations. Even those who post on social media but do so in affiliation with a news site (even a little one) have to have permission, but some random jerk will just be filming whatever she wants, wherever she wants.
It should also be noted that people very frequently film in gyms and public restrooms, even though that is indisputably illegal, but they don’t tend to receive much punishment for it all the time. It might just be a problem of inconsistent application of the law, rather than a lack of applicable laws in the first place
