- We've just handed our Duster back after a month-long test with Renault's plucky little compact crossover. The Duster occupies a unique space in the market with its rugged, no-nonsense attitude and apparent offroad ability, and we were happy to be afforded the chance to live with it for an extended period.
In this video, we discuss what we liked, and didn't like so much, about the Duster. We take a look at the 4WD system, the infotainment system, engine and gearbox options, as well as let you in on a problem our test unit suffered.

Bought a 2016 Duster 4x2 1.5L Turbo Diesel new and had the exact same issue with the clutch; please note you can pull the clutch into it's correct position by hand and carry on driving as per normal - the issue was fixed by the dealership under warranty with no further problem. Other than that no issues with the vehicle thus far I'm sitting on about 23 000km.

Anybody got some experience with the Renault Duster's after sales service from your local Renault dealer? Anything break down and was fixed (or NOT fixed) under warranty? How long did you have to wait for parts? Car delivered on time after a service as the dealership had offered? General impressions, good things and gripes about the duster after having driven it for a while?
Hi pls tell that whether 4 wd lock mode in duster is equivalent to low range gear box in other 4 wd like fortuner? I m asking this bcoz in duster it works only below 60kmph and above that it shifts into auto mode . Pls answer.

Been driving my 2919 dune beige duster for 6 months now and it says "Check anti pollution system", will see what happens when I bring it in for a check on Monday 🤷🏾♂️
@@francois7355 They said it's cos of the gravel roads but my friend told me that it's the catalytic converter, he said that these cars were built for European roads and not African roads, so the car needs to run for +/-1hour (more or less 60km) or you can remove the dust yourself (I don't know the name of that part to be honest fam 🙆🏾♂️) from that thingy that looks like shelves next to the computer box
@@francois7355 lol Please don't buy it fam. After this shyt happened... I got an engine failure message. It's a pity that I can't post pics here on RUclips. They charged me for a regeneration and I traded the car in for an Isuzu dmax 😭😭😭😭😭💔

@@francois7355 what was outcome of your search for vehicle? I'm keen on the Duster and seems the car is ok but the technology seems beyond the techs. To "gamble" almost R400k is the big issue...

The DACIA Duster (europe) is one of the most seen cars on swedish roads since a few years. It is very cheap and people like suvs... so...
In Europe, it's called Dacia, the whole brand!

Decent video, but the music was WAY louder than the speaking, so each little break in talk, the music would start blasting. Such a small but dreadful mistake on the part of the video editor…

No low-range....not a 4x4 and not for me!!!
God knows what fault is hidden in the car...be careful in buying Renault products...the rate of faulty cars from Renault..is more as compared to any other brand for the same price tag...it. seems awesome ..but not worth for competitive price tag..buying a bit more expensive car would be worthy over a long run...(reliability issue..level ...off the chart)
