Thank you so much for detailed explanation. I was keep having problems with uneven depth of foot rings and now I know why. It was levelling. All of my instructors told me about centering the pot but no one mentioned about levelling. I look forward to see more of your videos.

Best teacher among all youtube potters!!! No doubt. One question Danielle, if as you say, I push a very thin thumbtack or a very thin needle on the inside of the pot so that I know when to stop trimming, will the pot leak once baked or is the whole so thin that it will get closed when shrinking and with the glaze? Thank you so much!!!

This is amazing. I really want to learn how to do pottery. Hopefully in the new year I can start learning. I really want to get a potters wheel even if I don’t have a kiln just so I can learn my skill… Do you have any recommendations for an inexpensive beginner wheel? I’m sure you’ve been asked this 1 million times or more… Thanks for your wonderful tutorials!

Lordy, yes, I echo MaryannHooper. I am just beginning and if the instructor doesn't give an adequate explanation as to WHY something is done, I am not happy. Gotta know why.
