they didn't start animating this 2 years ago but they did have another project they've been working on since 2021 which is an alternate attack on titan ending. they probably started berserk maybe 8 months ago or later. as far as i know this is a pre-produced trailer so the scenes were made specifically for the trailer and doesn't show how deep into animating it they are. it's also only gonna be the first arc of the story they will be doing so it won't be covering anything in golden age or past the eclipse.
