This is absolutely brilliant and kudos to the actors for bringing in sich a charm to the film. I loved how the film touched on such a deep aspect of contemporary lives with such lightness, sometimes even bordering on the comic. Wonderful to watch! Congratulations
Very nice work Rachel! Yes, your actress has pulled off a wonderful job of fleshing out the role, but it was you who were in charge of plotting out the storyline and making the film believable. At no point did you falter. Thank you for a great piece. Filmmakers need as much praise the actors who are seen in their films.
Yeah, the responses almost made no sense to me. I thought that most people continued to know whom he is. At first, though, I thought that they were referring to another person, because I hadn't heard that name in a while.
I watched the end again, and I feel like the film didn't fully explain her motives. Maybe the film didn't need to. I'm talking about the watch. I got the impression that she took it simply because she liked it.
Ms. Rachel, it’s excellent! Thank you so much! Best wishes on all your continuing adventures in film making. You are so creative, talented, have a great eye and I look forward to seeing more from you, my friend.
Oh wow this brought me to tears. I would have done anything and everything up to and beyond this to see my momma before she passed. I just didn’t know it was coming.
So well done. Inspiring. The character is a sinner and a Saint! Although a fraud she brought a positive to the final days of those people. Thought provoking
With the artsy stuff, I find that if I keep hitting right-arrow, I can get the gist of the thing and get all the through in about a minute--saves time.
I finally got to watch this! o_o That was such a great short! And wow...sure gotta work hard to be THAT kinda criminal. Yeesh! I'm conflicted about how I feel towards the woman at the end...hmmm...
She is conning elderly people with dementia and Alzheimer's to pay for care for her own mother, who also has Alzheimer's. I just watched it, so I haven't fully processed the significance yet. She's paying $1275 per month, which is a hefty sum, possibly pointing to the brokenness of our medical and elder care systems. However, I think it's more a reflection on morality and survival-what lengths we might go to for those we love-and how grief can cloud our judgment, push us into moral gray areas, and redefine what we see as justifiable.
Above all, this film shows one thing very well, beyond its main statements: how much we as individuals overestimate our own knowledge and its importance (Lee Majors) in relation to the entirety of people.
😔Never understood con artists like these, like you go through all that stuff and you're still poor like you would be making more money doing legitimate work then all this nonsense. I never understood that.
I don't think that's what you were supposed to take from this short... Plus, will alone sometimes is not enough and does not lead to any ''way'' (not like it was a good way in the film either)
I think they left us as confused as the main character is on purpose. That feeling of "what the hell is happening" is perfectly parallel to her experience.
An inconsistency that distracted me: in an attempt to make the scenes seem “medical,” the beepiing of the pulse-ox is present even in the absence of a monitor or oximeter.
I commented that I didn't expect the end...because I DIDN'T. I was beginning to despise this thief...then felt sorry for her when I discovered why she needed the money. What's wrong with that?! Or you just like to tell strangers to shut up?!
While we're at it, I would appreciate it if Omeleto would quit spoiling the films. I didn't realize that she was conning until it was revealed as such. If I had read the description, then the early part of the film would have been spoiled. Omeleto is the worst at keeping secrets.
Hi everyone! I'm Rachel, the filmmaker. Thank you for watching!
Congratulations, great success on further projects.
@@RibsTouching Thank you for the well wishes! I appreciate you taking the time to watch the film. Have a wonderful day!

Great film well up to the expected high standards from Omeleto...Well done
That was so brilliant, well done. A unique movie ❤
She is so good at these controversial roles.

Wasn't expecting that end. Powerful little film.

Colonel Steve Austin!!!! Also The Fall Guy! We have the technology...Majors was a hero of 80s TV!

Beautiful work. I wish the world would discover Samantha Sloyan; she's utterly flawless.
I know, I love her in everything I've seen!
When both my folks died, none of my bros and sises showed up until they crossed over. I used all my vacation to be with both of them.
U shud be proud of urself for being the gud kid.
When my grandparents died my cousins posted it on FB. When they lived, they never visited them.

I am sorry that this evil woman got to see her mother before she died. She didn’t deserve anything except jail.
A PROFESSIONAL DAUGHTER
Great plot, great acting. Well done all.
Beautifully written, acted, and directed ❤
Omeleto always makes good short films with interesting plots.😊!!!!
So well done. Inspiring. The character is a sinner and a Saint! Although a fraud she brought a positive to the final days of those people. Thought provoking
She was doing it all to pay for her own mother's hospice.
Beautifully done. Both the acting and the story development. Good and evil blend in unique ways in each and everyone of us.
There was nothing evil… she was a visitor- and needed the items for her own mother’s care. 🙏
I Saw her on Midnight Mass Tv Show Brilliant actress❤❤
I did too! Her portrayal of Bev Keane is why I thought of her for this role. (Although it's a very different character.) She's phenomenal!
@@rachelannettehelson2023 Thank you for bring her to the short film and All the best to you for your future projects 💗
Thank was a fabulous show ❤
I am a proud GenX that knows that Lee Majors was the "Six Million Dollar Man" main character in the famous (80's) TV show. Great film👍
Close, but The Six Million Dollar Man ran from 1974-1978 on ABC.
...I was way off. Ted D. WWF.
How about the Bionic Woman!!!
Fabulous acting, great story
I clicked so fast. The woman in the thumbnail is a powerforce!!
She really is!
Didn't see that coming, BRILLIANT plot twist. She's still going to hell.
edit - Cast & crew, good job and really creative plot.

This was too much, too real, too true. Sadly. Sorrow knows no bounds when it comes to the helpless.
Stunning acting. Absolutely incredible.
She's really talented.

Fine piece of work!
It's grief. Pure grief.
Plot twist; emotional roller coaster. Well done.
Wonderful film. Written by a young man from Harlan County, Ky. Jesse Harris. :)

i just got angry, it happens, far too often. The elderly are getting ripped off in so many different ways. so sad.
