      @@KarmicSalt True, and this was frustrating for us to watch. But I started to see that and other things the mother did and said also to her husband that were making things worse were actually realistic. I can see a mother being so overwhelmed in this situation that she can’t even think straight, she’s half a degree away from hysteria herself, and I can see how easily this could happen.

    The most frightening and heartwrenching video I have ever seen, no gimmicks, no mindless special effects, superbly written and produced. Human. Not escapist fantasy. No heroes or heroics. Our modern American reality. Better than any Oscar performance I have ever seen. Every gun-crazy wazoo should be strapped in a chair and made to watch this darkest journey so many parents have had to endure. This film commands wide media exposure and deserves rewards and recognition.

    It's sad, and it's definitely very gripping. I feel like this is sort of a reflection on the tragedy that happened just a couple years or so ago where the police department ended up getting completely lambasted (and probably/hopefully sued) because there were tons of cops outside the school and they chose to do absolutely nothing but stand there. That's what it made me think of when the dad got there, and he said there were tons of police there, but you could still hear the crime happening. I feel like if cops are too afraid to go and intervine with something like that, they probably shouldn't be wearing a badge and acting like they didn't sign up for it. A split decision often changes outcomes for the worst. We get so tied up in a "that will teach you moment" that we come to realize that had we just taken that backpack to school...
    We don't have a crystal ball. We can't know that something like this would happen when we chose not to take a backpack to our child to "teach them a lesson." I may be wrong, but I think the writer of this story was saying just that. Take the backpack to them. It could be the very moment they need you the most.

    As much as this constantly keeps happening in America and people are against gun rights. This is the problem if we don't put a stop to guns, then our children going to continue being hurt. This is too painful to watch. I can't believe I got through it, but this really breaks my heart because we can stop this. Every just to control guns, right?😢

    The parent should NEVER call the child back in that situation. If the child is hiding the ring could give away their location. Let the child call you. Every school should have armed security and numerous designated teachers armed to defend and protect the students. You will never rid the world of crazy individuals. Pray for God's protection over your children and arm the teachers and staff to protect them also.
    Phenomenal acting.! The mother was beyond superb!

      How on earth is bringing MORE guns into schools a solution to eliminating gun violence for our children? As a Christian, the needless deaths of countless children is the main thing that makes me question my faith. Most parents don’t want to hear “pray to God for protection.” It’s not comforting; it’s tone-deaf.

    • @briteeyes2133
      @briteeyes2133 6 месяцев назад

      @@seracessna then you're not really a Christian so you don't need to bring up questioning your faith. I on the other hand AM a Christian and I have very deep faith. And I also absolutely abhor violence of any type. However as long as there are going to be EVIL people in this world, and there always will be,, you are not going to be able to control THEM getting weapons. So it's my conviction that it is okay to have a weapon to protect yourself , your family and your children. So that is why the schools need to have protection for the children. It is no different than telling policeman to go out and protect a City full of criminals and only have a stick. It doesn't work.
