I guess you tried to use the hero that fit the barrack theme, but they usually not compatible with the barrack. Paladin is tanky but lack damage, a hero with good damage like Oni or Tenshi work best with them. Barbarian is very strong but pretty frail, so a hero that can buff their defense fit them most. In this case Gerald. Assassin is good on their own, I think Alric do fit but Dante might perform better there. No hero can help Templar, they are just bad. The dwarves is pretty tanky but severely lack damage, so a hero with good damage is needed for them. Grawl will do. Regson fit the theme of Bladesinger, but well these guys OP, they don't even need help. I think Xin will be the most helpful there with his buff. Forest keeper lack number and stalling power. Their damage is high, so a good stalling hero is needed, it can be Catha, Razz&rag, or Denas. Renegade perform pretty good on their own, but Lycan is a bit too strong for them to handle, Xin can buff them enough, I think.

The reason why is they are the only barracks in this mod who are affected with both KR1 and KRO star upgrades and they respawn in 6 sec instead of 8 otherwise we should've seen different results

It doesn't matter if it's tested on a hard level like castle blackburn or fungal forest, or an easy one like Ruins of Acaroth or Bandits lairs, Barbarians last longer and perform better, always. The only weakness of barbarian is stalling power and it's the only good thing Paladin has. And even when they are less tanky, Barbarians still let less enemies leak through the defense compared to paladin. The majority of KR waves consist of huge amount of medium toughness enemies which Barbarians are better at dealing with anyway. The case for Barbarians, is that people use them wrong when they first see them, deem it not effective and never use it again, never actually try to figure out their best use. People usually went with more axe because "it add the most dps" while forget that more axe add single target dps but Whirlwind AoE damage will actually serve better overall dps. Guess what, they never use whirlwind. Another rookie mistake people make is use Barbarians, AND STILL BUY ARCHER TOWERS TO SUPPORT THEM. Like why? Barbarians insane dps already replace the need for any archer towers, build mages or artileries instead.
Necromancers are more of a mage tower rather than barracks Still they can't win Lycan's have 60% magic resistance and 40 regeneration/sec meaning you need more than 100 dps to start dealing damage to them They can take down 1 or 2 but 14 is too much
I use the heroes equally to the barracks that why And using dragons like boneheart will ruin all the gameplay I did this to showcase the potential of each barracks and using a decent hero for each one of them
It’s really sad how anti-barracks Frontiers is. It’s a great game, but it’s not that well balanced. Kudos to the bladesingers for standing strong despite that.

The answer is simple:
They are made as a tank, but not fast killers and lycan's can infect your troops without even KILLING them.
Assassin's should've won if you get a better chance with the sneak attack instakill
I restart many times hoping for something to change but with the same results
The worst part is cast time of the sneak attack. Assassins can take like 2-3 attacks and this will rock counterattack.
