Once the updates are installed the CZ-52 is a great pistol. Hardened firing pin & rollers from Harrington Products and slide release and magazine extenders really make the gun easier to handle. Love mine!
Any idea where to find a 9mm barrel nowadays? I remember they used to be common but at the time I wasnt interested but now Ive been itching to run this at pistol matches but they tend to not allow 7.62x25
This, along with the unique look of the gun, is why I got one. I think it is pretty unique in its execution and appearance. When I've mentioned it, or showed pictures of it to a couple "gun guys" I know they said "What the heck is that?" With only 200,000 of them made I was happy to get my hands on a nice one for a reasonable price. It's the most fun gun I've shot so far.
Nice, video. similar roller system is in Korth PRS and also roller lock but in different configuration was use in Korriphila HSP-701 (which externally look a lot like CZ-52), also mentioned Hk-P9S. Im sure there will be more of roller locks in german pistols
Love these. I actually got this because the roller lock system looks like cute lil eyes and a smiling face when put into action😅 🙂 I am 7.62×25 fan girl all day still the futuristic features of a pistol from this area 🥵
Yeah this was my first handgun I got at like 16. Mainly got it cause it was cheap as hell. I think its funny how I got most of my practice on this thing and when I eventually got a pistol with a button release (luger p08) I would impulsively go for a heel release for the mag swap. Actually it got me into reloading at 17 to try and get 7.62 cheaper
excellent video. great information, great presentation, and great collection, also. i had one on layaway years ago when they were around 100 bucks and regret never getting it out. their projectiles are armor piercing, also. it would've gone well with my cetme. i've never had a gun with a rotating barrel.
Great video. There is. A cz52 in the gun shop near me I have been looking to snatch up. I have heard a lot of negative comments as to the wear issues of the cz52, presumably referencing wear of or caused by the rollers. Any insights into the that?
I remember hearing about something weird with the rollers too, long ago, however I know on mine and a few others owned by friends we never had any issues relating to those. only thing I would say to be careful with is dry firing as the firing pins have a tendency to break if you continually dry fire the gun

The HK P9S pistol also uses roller locking.
What a kick-ass round...lots of fun...when you pick it up, it just wreaks of quality

Mine has the UGLIEST grips known to man. They are aftermarket. I can't find original grips or 3D file:/

@@saucen1785 you should get some gucci grips in lieu of finding originals. These guns in particular look very nice with some custom stuff
@@_Scipio__Africanus_ Agreed. I haven't looked in a while for grips. Will give it another go. Lmk if are aware of some for this gun:)

@@_Scipio__Africanus_ thanks a lot!
someone used to sell aftermarket barrel assemblies with insufficiently-hardened rollers, that's how it all started
@FafaFlunky ah cool thank you for the info! ive had my cz52 for a year now, I love it
@@AddThadd You're Welcome, you own great pistol that will serve you for many decades👍🇨🇿
The production handgun most similar to the Cz-52 would be the Hk-P9S.
I think the HK P7 and P13 had a similar system.
Actually not. Cz52 is Roller-Locked while the P7 and P13 are Roller-Delayed. So the Cz52 is a little MG42 whereas the P7/P13 is a little G3
Russia: copy our TT33 and SKS like everyone else.
Czechoslovakia: Hmm… Nah.
