Thank you Daniel, I know the difference between the small and large dates. My problem is I/we cannot find any info on the 1982D zinc, some say large some say small? I say small because it has that s curve to it with the stop sign where you can only take a left just like you described. But I along with a few other people have but it looks either to be a double die or possibly a 1 under the 2... this has me and some others baffled. Can you clarify? Or have any info on this?
Great report, Daniel. Again, I will research all of my 82 D small dates. Thanks for the information and video. Another great job of letting the viewer know the difference of the large and small dates. Keep them coming Daniel.
I bought 20 rolls of bank sealed 1982 small date Denver’s from my local coin dealer several months ago and they were ALL 2.5 g. Oh well, no one said it’s easy. Nice video 👏🏼
Thks Daniel! I always learn something new from you in these videos. I know they take a lot of time to put together and edit. So, it's very kind of you to share your time and experience with us. Keep em coming! Cheers.
Thank you Daniel, you really clearly explained that ultra rare coin the best I have heard it so far. I had heard it before but by the time they finished it wasn't that clear anymore.
I was given a roll of old pennies. One out of all the 1982 D pennies 1 is a small date. Its pretty shiny and new looking. I just need a scale to see how much it weights tomorrow.
Awesome video!.I didn't know about the1982 cents. It's hard to believe it's been 40 years since there release 😀😊🎉❤. Thanks for another informative video.
Yes I am new to coin collecting but I love watching you that's how I'm learning but my husband and I think we just found 4 of the small date d 1982 pennies and they weigh over 3 I how much can I get for them and where can I sale them
Somewhere I still have one or two lucite keychains that I purchased at a flea market in Santa Cruz, California, in about 1989, which are from Ball Manufacturing and include one each of a blank, unplated, zinc cent planchet, a copper plated zinc blank planchet, and a copper plated zinc cent (Large Date) identified "as struck at U.S. Mint". The struck cent lacks a mintmark and was presumably among the first struck. A verifiable West Point 1982 Cent?
Hi Daniel, first thank you for answering my question about the acetone. Second I have a minimum of two of each of the 1982 pennies. I know the 1982 Large date 3.1 grams I’ve got close to 80 of them.
The first thing I did when I heard, some years ago, about the 1982 D small date copper was weigh all the ones I had...including some in those nice package as you have shown...I'm sure you did the same....My dream is to find one in rolls or win the lottery to buy one...:)!!!
Hello Daniel. Thank for this video. I have 7 1982 one cent coin large date, plus one 1982 cent D large date plus 1982 one cent D small date. I believe, it been just two found it. I have no idea where to check to make sure have some value.
@@harrybond1485 I am only guessing, but what would be the chances of finding the only 2 cents ever made made out of the billions of cents ever made? I am guessing there has to be more… they are very rare
I m almost positive I have one. My grandfather died in the 80’s but left behind a five gallon jug and two coffee cans full of Pennies. I have been learning and educating myself before I do anything with all these magnificent pennies.
I enjoyed your video I learn something every time I watch your videos I have a question on the Lincoln penny s mint mark in the forties and fifties some are large some are small what's the difference in them and I found some of the s mint marks are touching the five does any of the difference make them worth more I'm new at this I'm still learning especially from your videos
I have a question; I have a 1982 no mint mark that is in really great condition. I have not weighed it still looking for my scale yet. But on the edge, I thought it was supposed to be smooth but this penny has striations, or lines that looked like they were put there intentionally on the edge is this normal?
Thinking about this in depth; it’s highly unlikely that 2 coins left the mint by non-unscrupulous means, and both get found within months of being minted. I’d put my money on it, that hour was spent making themselves some hush hush commemoratives. Opportunities for transitional errors don’t happen often and mint supervisors/employees would have been privy to this. I would not be surprised if a number around 10 were made that day. They just haven’t made it out of the family safe yet.
@@CoinHELPu My apologies. I had no prior knowledge of when they were discovered. I believe I misunderstood the statement about being able to find one in a roll “because it’s been since 1982”.

Hello. I've been saving 1982 pennies because that's the year my son was born...so I have 10+ of them. I watched your video and I believe I have at least two with visually different date styles. That I can tell anyway. Can you guide me to where someone clueless, like me, could get them evaluated? To see if they are in fact a Large Date and a Small date. PS: They are bothe 3.1g each.
Hi😊Thank you for your trustworthy information. I have a 1982 D sm date cent weighing 3.14 G. It is damaged so I’m wondering if it would still be worth grading?
Sorry, we do not help like that. You can use our coinhelpu community and post one coin per topic and ask about it or join CONECA and send coins to an attributer.
Wow, first time on your site, or in snything to fowithcouns. Fascinating that a 1982 small D is so unique in weight, that if it is 3.1 grams, it's worth something. I think I will weigh mine, visially can tell no double dye..

Yup I have one. Where do I sell it
I will be purchasing in a few weeks. Just cannot do it now.
Thank you for the information Daniel
I would like your opinion on my 82 D penny. It does weigh 3.11 g and has a reddish color to it very good condition
If it's not the small date then it's worth one cent, watch the video to learn what a small date is.
Do you have any info regarding the fully "silver colored" version? Quantity? Value?
It’s after mint plated by a private company so it’s damaged.
I was wondering about the west point
I found one! A 1982 d mint mark small date, 3.1 grams. How do I go about getting it appraised and sold? Also, found more d mint large date.
Submit it to ANACS

I'm still stuck on the "small date" 😭 my penny weighs 3.1 but idk how to tell

If it's not a small date then it's worth one cent, so you need to figure that out.

No, it is not, my video explains the only one that is worth money.
