1982-D Penny Worth Money - How Much Is It Worth and Why?

Whether it’s an error penny, variety penny, or key date penny, the pennies worth money are often worth big money - and I’m here to show you what to look for via a discussion of where the error or variety is on the coin and then close up pictures of it. If you watch, you may find pennies worth big money after cherrypicking.
This specific video is about 1982-D pennies worth money - these 1982-D repunched mint mark, doubled die, and transitional error coins can be worth $20000 or more in the right condition! Best of luck finding one of these awesome 1982-D pennies.

I have one also and I had a verified I just have to have it verified through PCG yes I had five point experts look at it and it is the small date D 1982

That coin specimen shown is the 1982D large date. You can differentiate between the 1982 large date vs small date. The small 1982, its 2 is a bit rounded before going down to its corner while in the large date the 2 is sharp straight down its corner, and ut should weight 3.08 to 3.11. Good luck guys.
Wow. I have found a 1982 D penny that weighs 3.14 grams. The date looks like the small date to my inexperienced eye but I'm leery til a professional looks at it. Thank you for the video.

I got a 1982 D. Whole reasoned I saved it was because it looked like a penny that was printed on a dime with silver (zinc?) shining through the copper that was fading. The fading also makes Lincoln's head look more like a skull.

I have ten 1982 's, three with the D mint, seven with no mint. All decent looking.
I finally decided to restore my old tool chest that I got back in 1990. It was damaged by a drywall ceiling falling on it during a house fire in 2009. Found some change, hidden under the bottom drawer, which was awkward to remove. Found a 1982 D and got excited!🤑 Came here because I forgot what to look for. 🤔Nope, large date.😒

I think I might have the 1982 small date D copper penny, but I don't have a way to measure its weight. It looks more yellow than other pennies I've seen, though. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Large date
So the video says to the tune of around 20,000. Yet I looked on eBay and I don't see one above 2000. So where would I have this Penny checked out and certified and who's going to buy it for 20000?

I mean I know this is an old video but after taking zooming pics and using 10 different straight edges to be sure. It’s 100% it. I have the 1982 D and it is 3.2 and it has the small date how do I sell it I got a scale and coin microscope. I have a lot of pennies dimes, quarters and nickels with double die odd verse and double die reverse double punch dates, double die Matt Marks and coins. I haven’t even saw on here. Just started it as a hobby. Now I need to know who to contact to Salem and get or get them graded.
