I share my island with my brother and we’re constantly fighting over design ideas. Since we’re always fighting, he’s content with being in control of our finances and playing the stalk market. I’ve happily dubbed myself island designer. Anyway, it’s always so nice to see people who can make their differing ideas work out on their island! Sharing is hard! 😂
I let my brother play on my island as he wouldn’t play enough to start a save file on his own switch. I got a physical copy of the game instead of a digital download so that he could use it in his switch but I guess that was kind of pointless😂
omg SAME! my brother and I are sharing our island and it's been both the best and worst thing we've ever done - on one hand we argue constantly but on the other hand, it's kinda brought us closer together which has been really nice. And also, it must just be a brother thing because - like your bro - my brother is all about fishing and farming and making money while my main priority is the aesthetic and decoration of our island lol. Oh and I totally agree - this couple's island def inspired me to try and be more collaborative with my brother. Sharing with a sibling really is hard, nicely put

I find I always think of something and make it WAY too big first time around... you just need enough to give the impression of what you want, since most of the stuff can't be interacted with, if that makes sense lol. For example I wanted a beach club-area, and when I opened up my map it took up almost the full corner of the island

LOL I had just added alfalfa pellets to my smoothie I made just before I started... they taste TERRIBLE imho but they are sooo good for you! I mask their taste with berries and crystallite ^.^
