You have the sweetest soul. Little Mr. Bumble was lucky to have your gentle care. I did a wedding many years ago. The wedding was in June. My peonies were in full bloom in May. The refrigerator was full of peony buds and little food for 1 month. They opened and did beautiful! I was so happy and so scared. It is so much fun to share the flowers we grow. The trees are beautiful. That auger is magnificent! Watching it splay the dirt is really satisfying.

Honestly, I could watch trees being planted all day long. Especially now that you are able to look around and see so much growth on trees planted in previous years. Those huge mature evergreens are so magnificent and give a sense of what’s to come. 🌲🌳

I cut everything from my garden for a September wedding 2 years ago & delivered to a friend's daughter, who had a bouquet bar set up under a tent, where bridesmaids & the wedding party made the decorations for the wedding. I’ve really been enjoying the garden sprawl these last two growing seasons and watching the process as you plant trees just …. *everywhere*. Starting my day with Garden Answer has been one of the routine parts of my day that I look forward to most every single day, but especially in the late summer/autumn with a cup of caramel or vanilla pumpkin spice coffee in a spooky season mug. ☕️🎃 A little of all my favorite things at once. 😄
Thanks for this bright little spot of joy each you bring to us each morning. ♥️

Love watching Aaron maneuver the auger and trees. A family affair!!

I have a flowering plum my parents gave me for my birthday 13/14 years ago. I absolutely LOVE it. Each year it has branches that have died out. Lots of them. The tree has grown too large for me to reach them all to cut the out at this point. I do what I can from the ground. Loads of suckers as well! It’s a gorgeous tree regardless. I love seeing the sunrise through the leaves. Beautiful 😍

My neighbor has 2 Kentucky Coffee trees. One ended up sterile the other is not. It has seed pods that look like “ huge” pea pods. Only fertilized if eaten by an elephant and pooped out. Not kidding. They drop tiny twigs and the pods in the fall. They are a really pretty branch structure. Kind of like an old oak tree. Nice winter interest.
    Only messy in the fall.

We had a Kentucky Coffee tree in our backyard for around 25 years until we cut it down last year. Its roots were growing above the ground and creating a trip hazard. This year, LOTS of sprouts from that tree stump came up in our yard and in our zinnia bed up to 60 feet away from where the tree was. We have been constantly chopping out sprouts all year!

We live in Ontario Canada and cannot plant Ash trees . The ash borer has devastated the area and no trees survive. We tried so hard to save the trees but they all died . 14 very old trees had to be taken down. Just be careful how many you plant. Once this borer takes hold, the insecticide stops working..

I'm surprised that you didn't use some of the red flowers in the south garden for the wedding too, given the impending frost.
Can I make a suggestion about the grass for the horses? Stay away from Fescue. You don't know what the future holds, and at some point you might want to have a foal for the kids. Fescue is highly toxic to pregnant mares in the last months of their pregnancy. It causes the foal to abort. My opinion is that it is better to plan ahead then to find out at the last minute.

Hi Laura, I was wondering if you could go over how you keep records of how and when you plant? Could you show an example page of it on screen? You seem so organized and I would love to be as organized as you. Love what you do on this channel, thank you.

Love all the new trees! My only experience with the Kentucky Coffee tree (I live in Lexington KY), is one growing in the back of my sister’s 5 wooded acres and it creates these large quite thick unsightly pods that take a very long time to break down. Not a tree you want close to the house or areas you use frequently. Hopefully, your coffee tree is a variety that does not produce those pods!
