Hi! The second countdown goes all the way to 4hrs on warm (but don't let rice sit on warm for a long time or it will dry out). You need to let it go to at least 10 mins (natural pressure release). You can open the lid anytime after 10 mins. Hope that helps :)
That's like 30 minutes just to cook rice, seems like a lot. Thank you for this video though. This is a lot easier than making it in a pot which I always mess up or burn.
Hi there! There is no "manual set" button so you have to choose one of the preset buttons (stew or poultry etc) and then adjust the timer for how long you want. HTHs!
Hi there! The crockpot does have a keep warm function but I wouldn't keep the rice on warm for more than a few hrs as the rice will start to dry out :)
@@neshkur3459 as far as I know you can cook 3 or 4 cups of rice in the same time frame, probably even more, but don't fill your crockpot up more than halfway as the rice needs room to expand! You only need to increase cooking time if you're making brown rice as it takes longer to cook :)
I give up on rice forever. I will never understand what is going wrong but it is literally impossible to make. I did this exactly the same and it’s been cooking for 2.5 hours and still hard. I don’t think I’ve ever made rice that came out good. F rice….for the rest of my life.
I have to say if you are aware that you had recorded this wrong in portrait mode, why not redo it in the proper landscape mode and remove this video. Also if you are going to take the time to do letters, why not also state how many cups of rice to how many cups of water in the video?
When I tell you that I have SEARCHED RUclips just a find a simple video on how to cook rice in this crockpot express cooker. BLESS YOU!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I really appreciate it ❤❤
Maybe stupid question but would he be the same time for 2 cups of rice?

Can I open the lid before second countdown is complete? I noticed you opened it while it still had 11 minutes left on the timer.

@@megbee1986 That definitely helps! Thank you!
@@yberrios6 You're welcome x
Make more videos on how to use this lol I’ve had this for a year and never used it cuz I couldn’t find a video
Haha! It's really easy once you get the hang of it! I have a video for a whole roast chicken and another for beef stew, they are both really easy!

Would you know how to manually set to pressure cook instead of using a preset ?

There is a manual mode in this model. But the preset is good for white rice. Use manual for brown, red, black variations.
can you keep the rice warm like a rice cooker can?
Hi there! The crockpot does have a keep warm function but I wouldn't keep the rice on warm for more than a few hrs as the rice will start to dry out :)
Can you double this?
Hi Brian! Yes - 1.5 cups water per 1 cup rice, so you can double, triple etc :)
Same cooking time for double the rice?
Hi! Yes you can double the recipe and it will cook in the same timeframe! Keep the ratio 1 cup rice to 1.5 cups water :)
@@megbee1986 when is it necessary to increase the cooking time?
