English Paper Piecing-Scanning and cutting with Brother ScanNCut

How to send image of mat to computer to edit hard to see materials. Sometimes my paper or fabric is the same color as the mat and hard to see and edit on the tiny screen of the Brother Scan N Cut. I'm using Brother ScanNCut SDX85.
