That's actually so cool that you can pick where you want to park by tapping the screen. I don't like Tesla's but props to them when it's due. Wish other companies had something like that
Question is this for those who paid for full FSD or does this feature also work for those who don’t have it?? I have a 2023 model 3 and I believe when I purchased the car Vision began and they just had taken away some features
I think this is great, the biggest flaw in a vehicle is the margin of human error, even the slimmest can cost lives. I’d prefer a AI that can park and drive way more efficiently and remove the element of human error
My car has always had it because it has ultrasonic sensors. However, I never use it because I don’t need that. I’m perfectly capable of parking the car. And much faster than the auto park can that’s for sure. I’m thinking if a person can’t park their car, maybe they shouldn’t be driving? Lol.
That is tight on the left which is where the driver’s at. I would have expected the car the land smack in the middle leaving the other cars after you more room to park themselves.
No, it’s a safety reason that you have to be inside. Just like any self park feature, it is so you are able to take over and stop the car if you see something wrong and before it causes damage.
@@WESSAMGO That is a separate feature in this case. Tesla has 2 different parking methods available to its cars. The first being what you are seeing here in this video and the second being what you are mentioning. The feature displayed in this video has recently been added back after being absent for a while to improve the software behind it. The method you are describing is something else and requires that you first line up the vehicle to the space you want to put it in. Then, once you are sure the car will go into the space, you double press the park button and arrows will appear on the screen. Once the arrows appear on the screen, you can press forward or reverse and then get out of the car. The car will then back into or go forwards into the space depending on which arrow you pressed. The hope is that in the near future, the feature displayed in the video will be able to do the entire process by itself without you in the car. But for now, because of safety, it is required for you to be in the car for the car to preform the task.
Some people don't know how to. I've had my licence for a while and I never learnt how to reverse park, never tried in my life. Plus it's just easier to have it automatically done.

So satisfying to just see it slide in

Can't wait for Actually Smart Summon, coming Soon(tm) with FSD (Supervised) V12.4 or something
Can't wait for my 99 civic to get that update
What update version is that? Is it for US only? Do you need FSD to activate this or it works with the basic autopilot ?

The thing on the screen where you choose the spot is a W
That’s definitely a very nice feature!
It’s cool. But I find it wild that it can only park into a spot backwards and not frontwards

Do a comparison of the new Vision Autopark and the old USS Autopark
