I inherited about 40-60 boxes when my friend committed suicide a few years back....I figured I'd help her family by selling her books as she ran a book business and they didn't know what to do with them. Well, now I've sold a few, but need to get back in the umph....as I barely have 20 books posted...and I need at least 200...
I like this guy, he seems down to earth and not a guru, like everybody else. I find myself being able to relate with him. Maybe I’ll start my own RUclips channel

Thanks. Real quick I just wanted to let you know, you dont have to go to the post office. I started selling stuff on Facebook and now have moved on to Ebay.. and shipping was always my issue. Use pirateship and you can print labels from your house and even schedule the post office to come pick them up from your house. That will save you alot of time!
My post lady hates me. She was delivering 20 priority boxes to me last week and I have her on camera yelling at my house that this is Bull shit. She’s something. I just go to the post office. It’s not far.
Sometimes I see people sell individual books on ebay for $3.50 with free shipping and it blows my mind. You're paying $2.89 for media mail. After fees and everything, you'd end up losing $.26. I'm so confused.
@@calj27 I see companies selling things at pretty much what I pay for postage so I imagine they buy 10,000 second class parcels per month/year at a discount of x%. Don't know the details but that's what I've always assumed.
I should do this as I can source books for free or almost free. The bargain barn at the town dump always has a couple hundred books on the shelves and a local thrift store sells books for $1 for a bag full. Most garage sales have a lot of books, too. I haven't done it because I didn't know how to look up prices.

Is it better to get USPS boxes/envelopes Or to stockpile boxes from your shipments you have received. I have been collecting shipping boxes and packing material forEVER. Thank you for subscribing! For books it is ok to send them in boxes that you already have. The paperback books I send in bubble mailers because it easier. I have a whole video on how to ship books. It's in the books playlist.

When you sell in "lot" how do you do the details part of the selling page. It makes me put an author and book title. Do I just choose one? Do you write all the titles?
I have been selling stuff from around my house on eBay. I’ve gotten to the books and I don’t think they are worth listing. I look on eBay and people are selling them for $3.99 with free shipping. I think I’m better off giving them away. 😂 our town has one of those little free libraries were you put in a book in and take a book. I will scan them all and make sure they are not worth anything first.
Ok for the first step you have books and you sell them but how can you calclate the shipping fees locally or internatinallt, as we all know that shipping fees has the most high rates ? What we do to avoid loosing our money ?
So if they were $3-$4 what's the point you sell them what profit do you make? negative -10$ so even though you put them in a lot how much the shipment will cost you? LOL

You are 100% correct about Amazon fees. You can make more $$ from Ebay than Amazon for used items. You have to do more work, but it's worth it.

I doubt that would work where I live. The post office doesn't deliver mail on my road. I would be shocked if they would come here to pick up packages.

I've always assumed they are buying postage in bulk so paying considerably less per unit to ship. Might be wrong though.

You just weigh the book and packaging then enter that into the eBay listing. The buyer will then know the shipping cost before buying.
