- I had the pleasure of meeting Vince, the multi-instrumental vocalist of Fractal Universe! He hung out with me during this first-time reaction and analysis "A Clockwork Expectation", the new single his band Fractal Universe released just yesterday! This is some of the most engaging and detailed musicianship I've heard in a very long time. The song is an absolute gem!

That took me way longer to "get" than it should have.
Man! A lot to unpack here so let me just say that the song and the reaction both fall into the "made of awesome" category. I really appreciate you giving this young man some exposure, not just featuring his song, but having him on as a guest. He seems pleasant and humble and absurdly talented. I did laugh when he said he was primarily self taught. First, because he sounds really good (his growl is beastly!) and second, I saw Elizabeth in the comments so should he want more training, he's rubbing elbows with two of the coolest coaches out there. This was fun to watch (hey, watch, clockwork . . . )

Austin Dickey (Forlorn) and/or Dickie Allen (Blasphemian) would be fantastic. Also, I know Mark specializes in false chord, but Dan Watson (Marrow Leech or Death Womb) would be great as well. I’ve commented asking for Austin before, and Mark has said he’s interested, so time will tell if that happens.

The Extol comparison is really spot on. I haven't listened to those guys in awhile. Undecieved is probably my favorite album from them.

I just want to say that I feel this band is a diamond in the rough. What superb song writers. They deserve everything good coming to them. I try my hardest when I'm not stuck in Facebook jail to spread their awesomeness into the world. Fantastic album. Such an inspiration. Very well done sirs

Love Fractal Universe! You should also definitely check out Stortregn - Moon, Sun, Stars (studio play-through). The vocals (and track) will be right up your alley!
Well this was a very enjoyable experience, loved the format, the song was super - that sax was just such a fun cherry on the top, and the band is on bandcamp (I love that platform and buy there whenever I can and I just pre-ordered). I just love it when I get introduced to music that has something new to explore.

You should do the Stone Healer record that dropped today, Conquistador! Insane grungey sound fused with dissonant black and death metal, with extremely prominent clean vocals contrasting with some black metal screams

My recommendation for a future video is, "Rings of Saturn". They have a lot of good songs, but my favorite is "Senseless Massacre". I would love to see a reaction to it.
