I have been using MSM cream for a quite a while now. I used the one from MRM. That one has essential oils though, namely grapefruit extract (Citricidal). But as for me, my skin has no problems tolerating such, so I guess its okay. One thing I have noticed with using MSM is that it appears to control my sebum a whole lot. My face tends to be an oil slick. Having said that, I guess drying my skin a bit helps, kinda like how Adapalene dries my skin a bit. Just a bit. If you have dry skin, MSM may dry your skin. I usually use aloe vera gel to alleviate the dryness. I tend to pick and tend to scar as well. It's a bad habit. But I noticed too that irritation including wounds from picking don't develop so much scar. In fact, as a keloid former, my scars hardly turn purple or dark.

I just started the supplement around 2 eeeks now and I started taking it for my creaky joints and inflammation. All of this has helped. I will continue with it.😀😃
I have heard that MSM supplement helps hair growth and strengthen weak hair (due to bleaching and ageing). You didn't mention this beneficial. Whats your opinion on this topic. Thanks Dr Dray, xoxo , Annarosa
I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and it has definitely helped with my joint pain. I’m only taking 1/8 teaspoon right now and using pure coarse flake msm.
Hello! I just ordered MSM today and am wondering how your experience has been? Are you still using it? Has it helped with your pain? How about your hair?
@@Booklivre to be honest not well at first. When I took the recommended dose my joints hurt worse. I cut back a lot and although it did t really help with my pain, I did notice my hair strands felt stronger.
I hear pastured chicken bone marrow broth helps heal joints too. You could also improve digestion to help the broth with things like organic, fermented foods. Dr Berg talks about what to do for digestion so we can digest things better, like the marrow broth that helps joints. Also I think ancestral supplements sells bone marrow and bovine tracheal cartilage and that helps joints too. 👌
I have arthritis in my hands and was in a lot of pain. Taking MSM really helped. Then I forgot to buy a new bottle. Pain came back, started back taking and in 8 days it started helping. My sister didn't have as good results.
I use MSM eye drops which is suppose to help with the chronic irritation of dry eyes. I haven't been using them for long enough to tell if it helps but I am using 1 drop per eye and building up the dose to avoid burning sensations. I'm hoping an added bonus will be improvement in the skin around my eyes.
Love MSM cream it’s helped me so much with acne scarring (discoloration and texture) I use it in conjunction with other things including essential oils lol. But my skin isn’t sensitive. I’ve put it it through so much over the years dermabrasion and lasers. I didn’t get acne until I was an adult. Good luck to anyone dealing with skin issues it can be rough. But you’re beautiful no matter what!
@@Patates2024 Hi! Iclal I use Natural Treasures EMU Cream. It is Emu Oil & MSM + Aloe Vera & Vitamin C. I use it once a day and leave it on at least an hour and longer. You must be consistent to see results. I've been using for close to two years in conjunction with other things. It's all been trial and error for me with skin care. Everyone's skin is different but it's definitely worth a try for the price. Good Luck :)
@@Patates2024 I'm sure it is available in Europe you can find it on Amazon. Just know you're not alone it's been a long journey for me starting from my early twenties and continues and I'm in my 30's now. Just love and accept yourself scars and all and you will notice a difference. I promise :)
MSM is one of my favorite supplements of all time. I have taken high doses anytime I ever need to heal a cut, wound, breakout or scar - and it is MAGICAL. Anyone considering taking it newly, of course see how you feel with lower doses first, but there isn’t really a known toxic value actually (it’s almost like water that way, the “lethal dose 50” or LD 50 is absurdly high and comparable to that of water). So you could take 10,000mg / day or more if you have no negative sensitivity to it or don’t experience negative digestive or other side effects, and you can see changes in wound healing within hours or days. The supplement is great for short periods where you need to clear skin inflammation, in my experience. I also use a moisturizer with this ingredient and my skin loves it. I suspect research in the coming years will continue to find more impressive details about its healing properties.
@@samkakarot5593 I’ve taken 10,000mg / day and even 20,000 mg / day with no negative gastro effects. The toxic level I’ve heard is the same as for water - so it’s hard to get too much. But start small and see how you respond - not medical advice.
currently using MRM MSM cream, it has some tea tree oil and other essential oils but seems ok, i don't have any irritation whatsoever with it. been using it for a week now and my scars seems to be improving and a bit more shallow now. Though i am using it in conjunction with de la cruz sulfur mask (i have used it 3 times now) and internally taking MSM Powder (2grams a day). one way i saw online to use pure msm powder is to mix it in water and spray it to skin, or mix it with aloe so it'll be gel like. hope this helps!
I have tried MSM before for my skin. I do think that it made my skin glow while I was taking it. I was taking 1500 mg twice daily. Sadly, I started experiencing palpitations and dizziness after 2 weeks of taking it orally. Symptoms gradually went away after I stopped taking it. I gave it a second a chance and tried a different brand. Again, experienced the same symptoms. I had the same experience with oral glutathione 🤔.
I had the same, but then I upped my water intake and the migraines, palpitations and fatigued feeling all went away. You need to drink a lot more water when taking MSM. Also take it together with vitamin C.
So I have been using Truskin vitamin C the orange one not the super one and that has MSM in it…. I can honestly say that it works sooooo freakin good. I still can’t believe it. First off I had theeeee absolute WORST acne like major big ol bumps on my cheeks and scarring and everything that comes with acne. And I used to pick at my skin a lot when I was younger so my skin was all kinds of messed up. But I started using this October 20 so going on maybe 7 weeks and all ky acne is gone!!! Gone gone gone. When I feel a bump coming I put this on and the next day gone. I still can’t believe it. I’ve used everything!!!!!!!!! Honestly they been going away like 4-5 days after I started but my right cheek still had a few but now all gone. And like I said I messed my skin up… I used to exfoliate my face everyday sometimes til it would bleed and just put a whole bunch of crap on my face so around my mouth has these ugly fine fine wrinkles but when I talk or smile u can see them so good and that’s also going away. And my face looks 100x brighter than ever before. I spend all my money on retinols like a lot of money. I just bought Khiels, Perricone MD and Strivectin retinol and this has nothing on all of them. That’s how fast it was and how major the transformation is. I’m still in disbelief. So if anyone has acne and scarring plz try TruSkin vitamin C the orange bottle. I used the super but it’s nothing like the regular one. Also their retinol but it was making me break out so I stopped. Give it 6-8 wks!!! I promise you, you’ll see a huge difference!
Dr. Dray!!! Not trying to sound rude but I feel like the moisturizer you use is making your skin grayer over time. I just watched a video of you at a conference and your skin looked much more yellow-toned.
Jakob: Your comment seems a bit nit picky. Could be lots of things: your screen or eyesight, if you suffer from color blindness, her lighting, how the sunscreen she’s wearing appears on camera, etc. I think Dr Dray’s skin looks great and has really improved with long term Retin-A use.
I don't think there's much science behind a moisturizer magically removing the pigment on your skin. Unless there's a certain ingredient that does that which I'm sure Dray would know of. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the lighting and nothing else. Lmao. Lotion that turns my skin grey, that would be some shit
I take it and I find it works wonders for my joints, skin, hair and nails. I take a capsule daily and it’s also included in the marine peptides I take everyday. They both work very well. Regarding break outs I can’t really speak to that but my overall skin health such as tone, softness of wrinkles I notice a big difference as do others. I use the one from ProCap Labs.
I make my own msm liquid and put it on my entire body. Does seem to make my skin look less crepy. I also take it by mouth. Love the healing and anti inflammatory benefits
I do well with 1 gram a day, much more than that and I get anxiety that becomes a bit unbearable. I may be sensitive to mineral supplements though because magnesium gives me anxiety too if I take it everyday.
Same here. First day 1/4 tsp msm gave me anxiety and magnesium lowers my blood pressure sooo much I’m currently taking 1/4 tsp msm in milk on an empty stomach. I’m excited for results. Just starting

I have a very advanced case of Interstitial Cystitis. I also have Addison's disease. Years ago I had bladder instill treatments of DMSO, but it was not successful. Since that time, I have had surgery on my pudendal nerve, which was tangled up with my pelvic ligaments causing severe pelvic pain (surgery developed in France and there are only a few doctors in the US that do it- I had mine done in Houston😊) So I believe this product may be able to help me with bladder inflamation. This could be really life changing Dr. Dray. Can you recommend this product in a pill form? Thank you SO much for all you have done for this community.

Kala Health MSM. No essential oil. 8 oz and ~15 dollars. Has done a lot for my sensitive fungal acne prone skin and mild rosacea in the short time since I’ve added it to my routine. Been using 2 times daily.
I use MSM Pure Skin and Facial Gel, the brand is OptiMSM, it only has aloe gel and MSM, however I only use it occasionally to dry out a pimple or two. It works very well, but I only apply it to a very small area, because it is a bit drying
I used msm lotion and gel topicalls for acne scars, skin hydration and pore size and it dried out my skin so badly, gave me a tight face, white crusts even when I used the correct amount and moisturized, and gave me a headache. I have since been using 10% niacinamide serum and cerave pm moisturizer with salicylic cleanser which helped my pores and skin tremendously!

Could you do a video about microblading? Would it damage the skin in the long term?
MSM is sometimes (depending on the brand I buy) in my chondroitin and glucosamine supplements that I take for my joints. I have terrible knees (dashboard injury) + CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) as a complication (diagnosed years into it, so too late - I have a disability due to it). Anyway. Long story short... I don't see that big of a difference between the supplements that have MSM and the ones that do not.
This should be pure MSM powder if you are taking it orally. Only the cream mixed with other ingredients with study and might be beneficial I believe she said.
@@amixeblu generally pills and capsules or mixed with all types of fillers and if you want maximum benefit when you want something pure like the powders or the crystals. The container should say 100% MSM and nothing else should be added to that. You'll get some benefit from pills but would probably get much more benefit from something that's 100% pure and it's not expensive in the doctor's best brand.

I used this as a teenager and it improved my skin a lot. I had massive breakouts and hyper pigmentation before using it and it cleared my acne. My hangovers tend to be much worse when taking this the same day I drink alcohol. Also I tend to get drunk easier. Another side effect for me for some reason is that I tend to get anxiety or get easily nervous when taking it for a long time, does anyone experience this too?
@@AP-nx6xo it can cause detox, xrtra water and take fibre to aid the toxins out. Otherwise anxiety can jus be ur sensitive nervous system to supplements that needs to heal
i had HORRIBLE anxiety taking this orally although it did help my hair grow (and brows and lashes). i already have baseline above average anxiety levels though. so going to look into topical use instead of oral use
Did you try different manufacturers? Most of it comes from China and some will contain impurities that can affect you negatively. For example I used to get horrible nightmares from one brand. Switching to another made them go away, switching back made them return. I’ve found OptiMSM to be a safe choice in regards to purity. But it might also be that MSM causes something else in your body that affects your anxiety level. Regarding alcohol it’s a common “issue”. But it’s actually a sign that the MSM is doing it’s job well with your metabolic system.

What is your advise on wearing sunscreens for extended hours of the day. For those of us playing outside with our kids during the day and then going to work for the afternoon/evening, is it better to wash off and start fresh before work and impair the skin barrier? Or continue piling up the sunscreen and leaving it on until the middle of the night when we finally end our day?

I just started the supplement around 2 eeeks now and I started taking it for my creaky joints and inflammation. All of this has helped. I will continue with it.😀😃

Would of loved for you to touch on msm for hair growth
I have heard that MSM supplement helps hair growth and strengthen weak hair (due to bleaching and ageing). You didn't mention this beneficial. Whats your opinion on this topic. Thanks Dr Dray, xoxo , Annarosa
I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and it has definitely helped with my joint pain. I’m only taking 1/8 teaspoon right now and using pure coarse flake msm.
Hello! I just ordered MSM today and am wondering how your experience has been? Are you still using it? Has it helped with your pain? How about your hair?

How did YOUR experience go !?!
You should do a favorite supplement video Dr Dray!!! :)
Yes, yes, yes!
For the first 5 days of its use I had digestion, stomach problems as well as diarrhea. But since day 6 all this disappeared.
Gale Ann where do you get them? Thx
I made my own eye drops using distilled water, sea salt and MSM
I was just googling if taking more than 3grams daily is safe and wahhla, how much daily did u take ?
@@samkakarot5593 I’ve taken 10,000mg / day and even 20,000 mg / day with no negative gastro effects. The toxic level I’ve heard is the same as for water - so it’s hard to get too much. But start small and see how you respond - not medical advice.
do you ever apply it topically mixed in a lotion?

currently using MRM MSM cream, it has some tea tree oil and other essential oils but seems ok, i don't have any irritation whatsoever with it. been using it for a week now and my scars seems to be improving and a bit more shallow now.
Yes I do!
Yas Gasovna detox reaction? 🤔
Yea Thats Detox
I had the same, but then I upped my water intake and the migraines, palpitations and fatigued feeling all went away. You need to drink a lot more water when taking MSM. Also take it together with vitamin C.
Hi Leo, quite a number of people mentioned upping water intake. How much is a lot of water? 'A lot' is subjective to many people.
Your skin is beautiful, don’t get me wrong.
She has a new camera so maybe that in the lighting? I haven't noticed any graying, her skin looks beautiful to me and natural.
Lol wtf I never said her skin was bad. Weirdos.

I take MSM, for I can get out of bed. My bones and joints. don't hurt much like before.🤕
I make my own msm liquid and put it on my entire body.

I have interstitial cystitis as well and I have never heard of MSM. I have been having flare ups recently so I may give this a try! I would like to know where to get it also! :)

@@sable7114 why should it be?
@@amixeblu generally pills and capsules or mixed with all types of fillers and if you want maximum benefit when you want something pure like the powders or the crystals. The container should say 100% MSM and nothing else should be added to that.
