I may have been wrong in the past, but i did some testing, if you form south america as brazil, then portuguese-brazil union as portugal, then do the iberian union as spain, and then the franco spanish union as spain, as well as get the uk their maximum imperial federation cores, and also form mare nostrum as italy, on top of getting the sudeten+austria+danzig or war accepted+integrate south jutland+memel as germany you can actually get a lot more cores as the EU, especially if first british malaya forms the union between them and indonesia, your maximum starting core population as the eu should be a bit above 1 billion people

I've just discovered that any country can core the states of Thrace, Macedonia, Central Macedonia, and Southern Serbia (I think, check the name on the last one) through the IMRO mechanic. This mechanic is intended for Bulgaria to steal cores away from Yugoslavia and Greece, but they can get them back by placing divisions in the states and hitting the decision "destroy the IMRO." (Note, for this to work, Bulgaria has to have done the focus to activate the mechanic and still exist) .The weird thing about this is that any nation can do this decision as long as they own (or possibly just control) the states, they don't have to have it as a core previously. This means you'll have to include this for every single nation's core population except nations that can already core all of these states!
@@sejozwak well that’s lame, there are a ton of nations that start out with very small core populations that need manpower, they could use this trick to get some more. Macedonia also has a lot of resources so firing it could be a major economic boost too.
