I use the Sony ZV1 but I made my first 21 videos using my iPhone 6s. Yeah, everyone can film decent videos on their phone. So if you want to start making videos yourself, just get started with your phone.

For the very first time I saw someone putting up their actual "Failure to achieve" here. Felt really raw and really good, for once to just not see the utopian world but an actual scenario. Cheers mate!
It is a bit tough to see one not being like that character in a tv show. But you realise that life is way more than getting that one thing. Life is a long run and in the end it is more about the experiences and learnings we take away than our individual successes! Glad you felt the video that close and honest. Love seeing comments like yours : )

Such a helpful way to see these competitive things as a lottery ticket! You can get more tickets buy putting more work in but it still comes down to luck at the end. Will keep this in mind with my Rhodes Scholarship application :)
Thank you for your comment! I think that framework is a healthy yet effective one for acknowledging what is under our direct control and what isn’t.
The component of luck is always present and there is no better approach that giving your best and hopefully the probability of success will be greater!
Hope you the best with the Rhodes Scholarship and I am sure that whether or not you get into Oxford you will end up being really fine!

Thank you very much!! They are part of the Past Exam Papers section of the TCD website you can access with student credentials!
I tried schols too (as a mature student in Deaf Studies), and didn't make it. Nor did any of my classmates who tried.
Still worth trying, though.
The most common scenario is not a single person getting it, yeah. That is why it was so very exciting that one of us got it!
Dude please recommend where to start for scholarship at Trinity
At the beginning. Start by keeping good notes during first year so that you can easily decipher them in second year. Keep up that pace in second year and try to work on a chapter or two from 1st year every week.
Might not be the best advice though as I didn’t get schols either xD

@@cloudy772 Thank you! Just take it really seriously and try to get familiarised with past papers as soon as possible. Just looking at the papers and how the questions look so that you start to get a feel! The rest is just having a good ability of improvising and problem solving under pressure. Best of luck!!!

After those exams trust me that there’s no energy left for anything other than catching up on sleep. I also flew to the UK to visit my girlfriend so I could still have some Guinness over there 😂
