Burgess is the most consistently written character on this show. Unlike certain characters Burgess does not flip flop on ‘morals’ when it suits her. Since she was a patrol cop she has always remained the compassionate officer that cared for people. Sure she has taken a lot of beatings and trauma than any other character but she always over came it for the sake of others.
