I don't think that applies to GLR's logic. Because the crew had to go through the Fishman Island to reach to the New World thus the inevitable encounter with Jinbei but your theory seems far fetched as they do not have to stop by Drum Island because crew already has an eternal pose to alabasta
Kenneth Jones, if Chopper wasn’t left out in the alternate timeline where if everybody Luffy asked to join his crew immediately joined Luffy then he’d stay on the ship with Shrubman until he only needed one rumble ball to have all his transformations unlocked, and then the doctor that was taking care of Laboon that joined Luffy’s crew would be the person that watches over Luffy’s ship with Shrubman whenever they land on a new island, and the other 13 crew members helps Luffy out in battle.
There is a major detail you are missing. Blackbeard's original plan was to chase down Luffy and capture him for the world government so he could become a Shichibukai. Ace just interrupted that and ended up fulfilling the same purpose so he never went after Luffy. I think a better situation would be to substitute Impel Down/Marineford for a situation where Luffy is captured and the rest of the crew attempts to free him. If they also failed to free him from Impel Down, potentially Crocus could gather up the Roger Pirate remnants to have their own war at Marineford for Luffy

Why do I get the feeling Usopp would clue into Luffy's ability to just ask people to join and they magically agree? Any time they run into someone strong that scares him. Usopp would be like "Luffy, he should join the crew" Depending how fast he notices this, the crew gets big and strong pretty quick.. and probably also has some dinosaurs from Little Garden :P

I feel like Luffy would awaken his fruit faster and thus become even more powerful, but with no crew to help him he wouldn't come close to finding Laugh Tale. He'd probably end up roaming the seas like some overpowered boogeyman.
Maybe he’d still get Robin, because she’s the one who asked Luffy, even though I doubt he’d be able to reach that point by himself. He would probably have stayed forever in East Blue sailing randomly as he doesn’t know how to navigate.

Chopper would still join. The crew would still have to pass through Drum and wait, for the log to set. Luffy would probably want to deal with wapol as he does in every other island, and with all the time he spends on the island he would definitely meet Chopper, and would immediately ask the talking reindeer/ raccoon to join the crew. And they would definitely meet cause Chopper came down to the town, plus was living in wapol's castle, luffy's new target. Even if they don't go to drum specifically for a doctor, Chopper would still join.
I think Luffy would still pick up chopper, because correct me if I’m wrong but the log pose will still point to drum island, and the crew would still get caught up in that conflict while the logpose is finding the next island, so Luffy would still meet chopper and probably ask him to join the crew anyway because of his circumstances rather than for the need of a doctor
No, Sanji stole an eternal log pose to Alabasta on Little Garden from one of the Baroque Works guys ... I THINK it was Mr. 5. Still, even then it's easy to write Chopper in as well by saying that Crocus doesn't know what actually ails Nami so they go to Drum to talk to their famous doctors.

The doctor would've realized this and suggested the island for either some herb or the medical expertise of the renown medical personnel who might be able to do something about Nami's illness.

Well they have Crocus on the crew and that guy has been to the new world. He had seen the dangers of that place first hand and he would be the first in line to tell everyone, being the crews doctor after all, that they are NOT ready for the new world. Also they could have a nice reunion scene with Crocus and Rayleigh.

Jinbe did have a connection with Luffy: Arlong. When he first met Luffy in Impel Down Jinbe knew he had already defeated Arlong. He also apologized to Nami for letting him roam her island. So assuming he is in FI post timeskip he'd still approach the SH to apologize, at which point they would have joined forces to defeat Hody. No way Luffy wouldn't ask him
Hody wouldn't have been an issue though since he was able to take control only because jimbei wasn't there to stop him. Since jimbei wouldn't have had to let go of his warlord title if the paramount war didn't happen he could still protect Fishman island
A thing I think you're missing is Dr. Kureha says that the poison Nami was effected by was very rare and she happens to keep the antidote just in case, so I think that they would still have to go to Drum island for help and then they would recruit Chopper and Kureha meaning there would be 3 doctors on the crew
I think it's safe to assume that anyone from Roger's crew is a legend in their field. Crocus would need Kureha about as much as Sanji would need Wanze.
I think we would still have chopper as doctor kureha said that the medicine for nami was rare and luckily kureha had the medicine... So yahhh, they would come to drum island from their ship doctor's request

This clearly prove that Chopper is indead the most important crew member without him no Drum island arc, Wapol isn't defeated, no discovery of the wapo metal, the marine and vegapunk probably won't achieve the same level of power during the paramount war maybe no human weapon. Franky wouldn't create something as great as the general franky. But the same could be said with Crocus if he joined the crew the change in the story could have been insanely huge, in saboady he will meet with his former vice captain and with this fact we may learn sooner that Ace is Roger's son, seeing a former crewmate being a pirate again with one highly value by shanks and the son of his friend, Rayleigh joining the crew isn't an impossibility. Concerning the paramount i still think it would happend either way teach is still chasing Luffy to become a warlord. I can see a version where either Ace or luffy is captured (trying to save luffy and we learn about Ace's father) and the rest unfold almost in the same way but instead we may have Shanks coming with the revolutionary army this time and the help of whitebeard (because Teach still kill his son). By the way i don't think Ace would have wait 2 more year for luffy to be a pirate, i think he would have began his journey the same way, eating the mera mera no mi, being part of whitebeard crew until the first bounty of Luffy. At this point he would join his first captain around Alasbata but before blackbeard kill Satch so that the event in Jaya doesn't feel too weird... But notheless those 3 a probably the one with the bigger impact if they joined or not the crew
I feel the same way, rayleigh would join them after some talk/see crocus. War would happen and I think that with all the crew members (+rayleigh) would be able to take back ace and win, there would be a funny scene where luffy asks whitebeard to join his crew and he must say yes so welcome first yonko xD. During the timeskip whitebeard + rayleigh would train whole crew so they will be very strong in the new world and maybe team of luffy, nami, brook, crocus, rayleigh, whitebeard, sanji and ace would take down big mom (something like oars fight from thriller bark), luffy vs katakuri would still happen but they will have much easier escape. But going back to enies lobby, kumadori vs crocus would be funny to watch, maybe this time we would have ace vs kaku? or maybe ace would take down buster call while luffy and lucci are fighting. Would crocus + ace + zoro be able to take down kuma in thriller bark ? I think yes. There is so much questions about this whole idea, would shanks join the crew after wano when luffy will see him xD?
Bsm12 They should make an ova with this premise. It would be hilarious to see ridiculously powerful people, like Yonko and Roger’s former crew members joining Luffy’s crew. Also I think Robin is the most important because they literally can’t find Raftel without her. Any pirate crew that makes it there will inevitably have Robin with them to read the road poneglyphs, unless they can get it out of one of the Roger pirates somehow. Come to think of it does Buggy know where Raftel is because he isn’t particularly strong and would probably spill the beans pretty easily to save his life.

We Are The Legion Ah that’s true in this scenario. But if you just talking about the actual make up of the crew then Robin is probably the most important. Other pirate crews could possibly get information on the location of Raftel or the red ponygliphs from the former members of Roger’s crew but that is probably harder than kidnapping Robin. Most of the crew members are probably either so strong that most One Piece characters could not defeat them or willing to die without disclosing information, if not both. Most of them are probably hidden also and no one knows their whereabouts except a select few. The weakest known link I would say is definitely Buggy but like you said there is probably some reason he can’t say where it is. It would be too easy otherwise. The only people that they are willing to help find Raftel are probably Luffy’s crew or other benevolent crews like his.
@@jacobharris5894 yes, in current scenario robin is the most important but as I said, when former roger crew (which saw laugh tale) is there they can go there without robin. in manga buggy was too scared to go to the laugh tale so he stayed with shanks and both of them don't know where the laugh tale is.
About not picking up chopper and the old lady doctor, I don’t know how to spell her name, but they would most likely still join the crew. The disease Nami caught has been extinct for over a hundred years. Crocus most likely wouldn’t know how to treat it due to not being that old, therefore they would have to seek out someone who was that old, and boom. Now the straw hats have 3 doctors.
I think the Paramount War still would've happened. Blackbeard's original target was Luffy, and had he captured him, a similar situation would've occurred, just with Luffy being the one set for execution. The secret revealed at the execution would be him being Dragon's son, and the Emperor that showed up would be Shanks instead of Whitebeard. Dragon would've broken into Impel down to get Ivankov to join the war as well, and have shown up at the end where Shanks originally does. Same lines from Dragon, with him debating whether we should go see the now passed out from trauma Luffy. Sabo would also regain his memories at Marineford. If they were fighting Shanks, I doubt Mihawk would've participated in the war either, so he would also be booted from the title of Warlord. If Ace was already a part of the crew, I feel for "fate" related reasons, when Kuma separates them, he would've sent Ace to the island with the Flame Flame Fruit, and he would've trained it over the timeskip, which is coincidentally the same amount of time he has it for before his original death. Also Chopper would've still been recruited, they had to stop at Drum Island anyway, to follow the Log pose.
The whole drum island could also ties with how Nami's sickness is an ancient one and Crocus just didn't know what sickness or he lacked materials to make the medicine so they go to drum island. The rest is cool though.
What if Luffy actually had 10 nakama join his crew before entering the Grand Line like he intended? Do Johnny & Yosaku get recruited? Does Luffy meet Bartolomeo sooner? Think it'd make a good vid

He would have to deal with Dragon, Shanks, and ace who would maybe bring a Whitebeard and a couple divison commanders, and of course the rest of the straw hat crew. Blackbeard would not survive, and if the world government decided to hold a public execution in Marineford then they no doubt lose since they are probably not strong to enough to fight Shanks and his entire crew with Dragon. Include Ace and whitebeard and it's a wrap.

Nami's disease is rare. Crocus is a retired ship doctor, He probably doesn't have the medicine for Nami's disease because of it's rarity. So the trip to Drum island should still happen.
Looks like the gum gum fruit had a extra ability in this timeline: the ability to force people to join your crew like a rubber band can bind dolls together. (Best way I can explain it while still fitting the rubber theme)

I think that there is a very decent chance that staying behind to pay respects to the fallen zombie horse and zombie tree would have left them in the Florian Triangle long enough for the giant monster seen in the distance at the end of the arc to find the Straw Hats. Notably, the narrator in canon states that it is "fortunate" that the Straw Hats escaped the creature's notice, implying that they would have gone missing like countless other crews had in the Florian Triangle. TLDR if the zombies had joined the Straw Hats, they may have all ultimately died right after the Thriller Bark Arc in this universe.
Con D. Riano's power spans across all time and timelines. He is always there helping the Straw Hats. He repaired the Merry on Skypiea. He tickles people's noses when someone in the world is talking about them. He was Joy Boy and he waits on Laugh Tale to reveal all that he as done, as he did to the Roger Pirates.
OOO WAIT THO. I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING. Originally, Blackbeard was going to Water 7 to hunt Luffy when he ran into Ace instead. So if Luffy got captured instead, the war could’ve still happened. But it’s complicated. Granted, Ace was in a 1v1 vs Blackbeard and this would be Strawhat Pirates vs. Blackbeard Pirates (at Water 7). I definitely think Blackbeard has much less of a chance of winning here. But if the Strawhats did lose, there may be some fatalities and I wouldn’t put it passed Blackbeard to capture everyone in the crew who had a bounty above 100 mil (Luffy, Zoro, and Ace (probably)) So the war would set up 3 executions and they’re the 3 strongest members in the crew. The remaining Strawhats would have a hard time even getting to Marineford, but let’s say they make it somehow. They help out a little bit, but I think the majority of saving comes from outside the crew. You know Shanks would show up and there’s a good chance Dragon would too (based on how Ivankov talked about him during the war. When he was under the impression that Ace was also Dragon’s son, Ivankov says something along the lines of “why would the Navy start something with both Whitebeard and Dragon?”) That would be an opportunity for Sabo to get his memories back when he finds out that both Luffy and Ace are set to be executed. Overall I have no idea who would win this war. Whitebeard was a beast at Marineford but the fact remains that he wasn’t even close to being in his prime. It’s not completely unreasonable to assume that Dragon is Yonko level, so having both Shanks and Dragon on the Strawhat side would definitely stand a chance against the marines. It’s also not unreasonable to assume that Shanks has allies in the New World similar to how Whitebeard did. After writing it out, I feel like the Strawhats would have the same, if not an even better chance at success than Whitebeard. I’d be super interested to see how this version of the arc would turn out :)
I think that blackbeard would've never met luffy though cuz they would just take ice berg, get the news, buy a new ship, do enies lobby and dip. No franky shit or anything.
I think they'd still need to head up drum island, because before the events of this they'd have no supplies for medicine or have visited any island with any Seeing as how whiskey peak was a struggling bounty hunters den with dwindling supplies And theyd still come across Wapol on the sea and inevitably need to find an island with supplies thus adding Kureha and Chopper to this list
Im pretty sure they’d still have to go to drum island and pick up chopper because the 5 day desease was tought to be extinct so it’s very likely that crocus wouldn’t have had the cure and crocus would suggest going to drum island because of it’s advanced medical workforce

Chopper should be in the crew. If I am correct, luffy didn't invite him to be a doctor. He invited him because he liked him so much he called Chopper his friend. So basically, they have two doctors now
In a scene from the anime, Luffy was surprised Chopper was a doctor at all and claimed Chopper was initially requested due to being a "7 Point transforming reindeer"

Did you forget about Foxy? During their Davy Back Luffy wanted to take him for strategy and was denied because it was unethical. In this hypothetical he would of got Foxy, keep and kept him. Having the slow slow beam could of been pretty helpful too in some places.

I think that as luffy invited more people and they all entered his crew he would be more confident to invite even more people resulting in the biggest crew in the world
Would they need a time skip? Since Crocus was already on board, he can tell Luffy about Haki early on, to help him train, if not train him personally ( as we don't really know if Crocus can use haki).

Kenneth Jones, if Chopper wasn’t left out in the alternate timeline where if everybody Luffy asked to join his crew immediately joined Luffy then he’d stay on the ship with Shrubman until he only needed one rumble ball to have all his transformations unlocked, and then the doctor that was taking care of Laboon that joined Luffy’s crew would be the person that watches over Luffy’s ship with Shrubman whenever they land on a new island, and the other 13 crew members helps Luffy out in battle.

There is a major detail you are missing. Blackbeard's original plan was to chase down Luffy and capture him for the world government so he could become a Shichibukai. Ace just interrupted that and ended up fulfilling the same purpose so he never went after Luffy. I think a better situation would be to substitute Impel Down/Marineford for a situation where Luffy is captured and the rest of the crew attempts to free him. If they also failed to free him from Impel Down, potentially Crocus could gather up the Roger Pirate remnants to have their own war at Marineford for Luffy

Luffy would probably want to deal with wapol as he does in every other island, and with all the time he spends on the island he would definitely meet Chopper, and would immediately ask the talking reindeer/ raccoon to join the crew. And they would definitely meet cause Chopper came down to the town, plus was living in wapol's castle, luffy's new target. Even if they don't go to drum specifically for a doctor, Chopper would still join.

Jinbe did have a connection with Luffy: Arlong. When he first met Luffy in Impel Down Jinbe knew he had already defeated Arlong. He also apologized to Nami for letting him roam her island. So assuming he is in FI post timeskip he'd still approach the SH to apologize, at which point they would have joined forces to defeat Hody. No way Luffy wouldn't ask him
Hody wouldn't have been an issue though since he was able to take control only because jimbei wasn't there to stop him. Since jimbei wouldn't have had to let go of his warlord title if the paramount war didn't happen he could still protect Fishman island

I think it's safe to assume that anyone from Roger's crew is a legend in their field. Crocus would need Kureha about as much as Sanji would need Wanze.

I have read the novel and when Ace left the island he ate the fruit in another one and got a kinda weak crew and not that loyal tbh
This clearly prove that Chopper is indead the most important crew member without him no Drum island arc, Wapol isn't defeated, no discovery of the wapo metal, the marine and vegapunk probably won't achieve the same level of power during the paramount war maybe no human weapon. Franky wouldn't create something as great as the general franky.
But the same could be said with Crocus if he joined the crew the change in the story could have been insanely huge, in saboady he will meet with his former vice captain and with this fact we may learn sooner that Ace is Roger's son, seeing a former crewmate being a pirate again with one highly value by shanks and the son of his friend, Rayleigh joining the crew isn't an impossibility.
Concerning the paramount i still think it would happend either way teach is still chasing Luffy to become a warlord. I can see a version where either Ace or luffy is captured (trying to save luffy and we learn about Ace's father) and the rest unfold almost in the same way but instead we may have Shanks coming with the revolutionary army this time and the help of whitebeard (because Teach still kill his son).

I feel the same way, rayleigh would join them after some talk/see crocus. War would happen and I think that with all the crew members (+rayleigh) would be able to take back ace and win, there would be a funny scene where luffy asks whitebeard to join his crew and he must say yes so welcome first yonko xD. During the timeskip whitebeard + rayleigh would train whole crew so they will be very strong in the new world and maybe team of luffy, nami, brook, crocus, rayleigh, whitebeard, sanji and ace would take down big mom (something like oars fight from thriller bark), luffy vs katakuri would still happen but they will have much easier escape. But going back to enies lobby, kumadori vs crocus would be funny to watch, maybe this time we would have ace vs kaku? or maybe ace would take down buster call while luffy and lucci are fighting. Would crocus + ace + zoro be able to take down kuma in thriller bark ? I think yes. There is so much questions about this whole idea, would shanks join the crew after wano when luffy will see him xD?
Bsm12 They should make an ova with this premise. It would be hilarious to see ridiculously powerful people, like Yonko and Roger’s former crew members joining Luffy’s crew. Also I think Robin is the most important because they literally can’t find Raftel without her. Any pirate crew that makes it there will inevitably have Robin with them to read the road poneglyphs, unless they can get it out of one of the Roger pirates somehow. Come to think of it does Buggy know where Raftel is because he isn’t particularly strong and would probably spill the beans pretty easily to save his life.
@@jacobharris5894 She isn't that important if luffy has crocus and rayleigh, they probably know where laugh tale is so they don't need to read road poneglyphs, but she can still be useful because of ancient weapons. buggy probably know where laugh tale is but he had to stay on lodestar because of "I can't go on that island" disease with shanks (oden flashbacks). But i agree with Bsm12 with that whitebeard stuff, luffy would ask him to join the crew (even as a joke) after winning war so we would have 1v1 kaido vs whitebeard in wano or sanji rescue team (nami, crocus, rayleigh, whitebeard and luffy) vs big mom, that would be hilarious and amaaaazing fight. I would like to see luffy asking Buggy D. clown to join his crew tho, even if he is weak i still like him and seeing his improvement from weak buggy to pirate king crewmate level would be awesome, imagine his bara bara no mi after training! whole shanks arc would be funnier but i think buggy would forgive shanks all that bara bara no mi stuff.
We Are The Legion Ah that’s true in this scenario. But if you just talking about the actual make up of the crew then Robin is probably the most important. Other pirate crews could possibly get information on the location of Raftel or the red ponygliphs from the former members of Roger’s crew but that is probably harder than kidnapping Robin. Most of the crew members are probably either so strong that most One Piece characters could not defeat them or willing to die without disclosing information, if not both. Most of them are probably hidden also and no one knows their whereabouts except a select few. The weakest known link I would say is definitely Buggy but like you said there is probably some reason he can’t say where it is. It would be too easy otherwise. The only people that they are willing to help find Raftel are probably Luffy’s crew or other benevolent crews like his.
@@jacobharris5894 yes, in current scenario robin is the most important but as I said, when former roger crew (which saw laugh tale) is there they can go there without robin. in manga buggy was too scared to go to the laugh tale so he stayed with shanks and both of them don't know where the laugh tale is.
About not picking up chopper and the old lady doctor, I don’t know how to spell her name, but they would most likely still join the crew. The disease Nami caught has been extinct for over a hundred years. Crocus most likely wouldn’t know how to treat it due to not being that old, therefore they would have to seek out someone who was that old, and boom. Now the straw hats have 3 doctors.
I think the Paramount War still would've happened. Blackbeard's original target was Luffy, and had he captured him, a similar situation would've occurred, just with Luffy being the one set for execution. The secret revealed at the execution would be him being Dragon's son, and the Emperor that showed up would be Shanks instead of Whitebeard. Dragon would've broken into Impel down to get Ivankov to join the war as well, and have shown up at the end where Shanks originally does. Same lines from Dragon, with him debating whether we should go see the now passed out from trauma Luffy. Sabo would also regain his memories at Marineford. If they were fighting Shanks, I doubt Mihawk would've participated in the war either, so he would also be booted from the title of Warlord. If Ace was already a part of the crew, I feel for "fate" related reasons, when Kuma separates them, he would've sent Ace to the island with the Flame Flame Fruit, and he would've trained it over the timeskip, which is coincidentally the same amount of time he has it for before his original death. Also Chopper would've still been recruited, they had to stop at Drum Island anyway, to follow the Log pose.

The whole drum island could also ties with how Nami's sickness is an ancient one and Crocus just didn't know what sickness or he lacked materials to make the medicine so they go to drum island. The rest is cool though.

He would have to deal with Dragon, Shanks, and ace who would maybe bring a Whitebeard and a couple divison commanders, and of course the rest of the straw hat crew. Blackbeard would not survive, and if the world government decided to hold a public execution in Marineford then they no doubt lose since they are probably not strong to enough to fight Shanks and his entire crew with Dragon. Include Ace and whitebeard and it's a wrap.

Nami's disease is rare. Crocus is a retired ship doctor, He probably doesn't have the medicine for Nami's disease because of it's rarity. So the trip to Drum island should still happen.
If it did they'd probably have 3 doctors. All they'd need is Trafalgar Law and that would make the Strawhats officially the best medics in the world.
Looks like the gum gum fruit had a extra ability in this timeline: the ability to force people to join your crew like a rubber band can bind dolls together. (Best way I can explain it while still fitting the rubber theme)
If everyone he invited joined his crew then he probably have zombie crew since he invited almost every zombies he met in thriller bark

I think that there is a very decent chance that staying behind to pay respects to the fallen zombie horse and zombie tree would have left them in the Florian Triangle long enough for the giant monster seen in the distance at the end of the arc to find the Straw Hats. Notably, the narrator in canon states that it is "fortunate" that the Straw Hats escaped the creature's notice, implying that they would have gone missing like countless other crews had in the Florian Triangle. TLDR if the zombies had joined the Straw Hats, they may have all ultimately died right after the Thriller Bark Arc in this universe.

OOO WAIT THO. I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING. Originally, Blackbeard was going to Water 7 to hunt Luffy when he ran into Ace instead. So if Luffy got captured instead, the war could’ve still happened. But it’s complicated.
Granted, Ace was in a 1v1 vs Blackbeard and this would be Strawhat Pirates vs. Blackbeard Pirates (at Water 7). I definitely think Blackbeard has much less of a chance of winning here. But if the Strawhats did lose, there may be some fatalities and I wouldn’t put it passed Blackbeard to capture everyone in the crew who had a bounty above 100 mil (Luffy, Zoro, and Ace (probably))
So the war would set up 3 executions and they’re the 3 strongest members in the crew. The remaining Strawhats would have a hard time even getting to Marineford, but let’s say they make it somehow. They help out a little bit, but I think the majority of saving comes from outside the crew.
You know Shanks would show up and there’s a good chance Dragon would too (based on how Ivankov talked about him during the war. When he was under the impression that Ace was also Dragon’s son, Ivankov says something along the lines of “why would the Navy start something with both Whitebeard and Dragon?”)
That would be an opportunity for Sabo to get his memories back when he finds out that both Luffy and Ace are set to be executed.
Overall I have no idea who would win this war. Whitebeard was a beast at Marineford but the fact remains that he wasn’t even close to being in his prime. It’s not completely unreasonable to assume that Dragon is Yonko level, so having both Shanks and Dragon on the Strawhat side would definitely stand a chance against the marines. It’s also not unreasonable to assume that Shanks has allies in the New World similar to how Whitebeard did.
After writing it out, I feel like the Strawhats would have the same, if not an even better chance at success than Whitebeard. I’d be super interested to see how this version of the arc would turn out :)

Chopper should be in the crew. If I am correct, luffy didn't invite him to be a doctor. He invited him because he liked him so much he called Chopper his friend. So basically, they have two doctors now

In a scene from the anime, Luffy was surprised Chopper was a doctor at all and claimed Chopper was initially requested due to being a "7 Point transforming reindeer"

Did you forget about Foxy? During their Davy Back Luffy wanted to take him for strategy and was denied because it was unethical. In this hypothetical he would of got Foxy, keep and kept him. Having the slow slow beam could of been pretty helpful too in some places.
