We were coasting now. The aftermath of some galactic catastrophe billenia ago providing the gravity trough which the ship could glide effortlessly towards. Confirming there was enough fuel to reach our destination I settled back into the Cryopod and connected the Odysseus device.
And so, he sat there in the rainfall, the man who could no longer remember his name. He could not remember anything, but he did not care. He had long since lost his care for what was outside the walls. The neon, the constant droning of hover cars in the sky, the constant party up above, and the drug-ridden streets below, had become his home. The only thing he knew of, or cared to know, was this place, this station he was plugged in to. He had made enough money for the good stuff today, pure, unfiltered data. It gave a high that was unlike any other, much more than the crude needles, heated spoons, and bongs of days long past. As his mind raced with information soon forgotten, the man smoked a cigarette, blowing smoke into the night sky.
I've commented on this before. This video, and a handful of others from this channel, was the soundtrack to a certain period of my life. But it doesn't bring back specific memories; it just brings back good vibes and positivity. It's priceless. Thanks, bro.
I love listening to these mixes. They inspire me to make my own tracks in the same genre. They normally come out half-baked and bad and don't sound like Chillwave, but I'm still growing. I wonder how many of these artists are self-taught? I would love to go outside one night while listening to this, staring at the stars, but too many bugs and too cold lol
