I too have a 16 cm wrist and have long since made piece with the fact that the Navitimer is meant to be big. As originally conceived and designed it almost had to be 43 to 46 cm across the dial to even read the scales and use the features. I have two Small Navitimers both 40 cm, a Montbrilliant and the new ref 806 reissue. I can't really read either without taking them off and really consentating on what I'm doing. But like a 95% of most dive watches that never go deeper than the local pool does anyone ✈ a Connie to Paris and have to compensate the head wind with fuel consumption. No the Navitimer is meant to be a statement piece so let it be bold.
Look up the Navitimer Old from early 2000s they're very well priced- or look at Sinn they make this design watch because Breitling sold them the rights 30 years ago-

I suppose if someone actually uses the functions often or at all, this Is the watch to own. I think it’s overkill, but it’s still a cool looking watch.

I agree with all that you said. Pilots watches like Divers watches, should be big to be legible at a glance during those types of activities.
I don't want to have to put on my reading glasses to read those numbers on the dial. That would defeat the whole purpose.
I'm loving all the Breitling lately!
The Navitimer line is one where I pretty much love all of them, just so classic and iconic!
