It’s not as simple as pumping in oxygen. The ash changes the ph and composition of the water. When that ash hits the water other microorganisms start eating the ash and they use up the oxygen. So it continues until the ash is gone
I learned to ski at this lake. That was 1964. My Dad and I use to hunt in those hills behind the lake. I used a 410 shotgun and hunted rabbits and quail. Butchered and ate them. That was 1966. I was 12. Imagine doin' that now?
Could you have ever imagine back then that you can leave a comment that can be seen world wide about a video displayed on a phone that can fit in your pocket?!
That’s really cool that they found a way to do something about it and save the majority of fish. Looks like the shad were the canary in the coal mine. Well done!
Gee that never happened before? BS waste of money this happens all the time around lake that have fires nearby but we sre going to waste money on this one.
I hope this is something community officials learn from this, to check oxygen levels right away during close fires.

Lake smells some more. always stunk.
do the dead bodies and shopping carts floating in the lake affect the fish?
Why do they talk like that ?
People actually eat fish from there?? 😅😅😅
as soon as it rains and all that ash is washed into the lake there's gonna be a lot more fish dyeing off
Your safer eating cats like in Ohio.
Since when did the lake had shad fish?
Solve problems, don't cause them
