Teacher Ahmed Karat from www.maydaanarchery.org.au/ perfectly demonstrating the close range traditional training called 'TORBA'. Basically you're trying to group from a short distance and check your arrow angle. You can slowly move back incrementally once you are consistently grouping at close range.

I've also seen Chinese archer doing this. I shoot indoors at a box of rags at 10 feet. 1/2 inch target spot.

When doing torba, are you conscientiously trying to not hit the last arrow? Just aiming for that tiny bit of free space? If so, that's amazing for my current quality of shoots. I'm still trying to perfect my khatra, but getting there.

Assalamu alaikum yaa akhii al karim, Do you use carbon arrows on this video?
I believe they were carbons yes but wooden ones work just as well if they are properly tuned with the bow.
He said while presenting bow "Ya Allah" , while pulling the arrow "Bismillah", while relasing the arrow "Ya Hak". He chanted God's 3 different Arabic names, the "Bismillah" is starting verse of Quran and muslims start every action with it.. It is like sealing all that is done for God consent and permission and leaving end result to God... Yeah that is pure Ottoman Archery...It must have been a sigth to see tens of thousands of Ottoman archers chating these with all out voice together while shouting continously.

ideally should be 1 bow length away from the target
shouldnt be the torba training with bare saft arrows ?
Fletching don't get a chance to work at short distance
can be done with/without fletches but like Eric rightly said at such a short distance the fletches dont get a chance to kick in.
