    At 29:43 you could discard Trumpeting Carnosaur to deal three damage to your own Charming Scoundrel and reanimate the Carnosaur immediately and get to discover, potentially hitting beseech for the combo kill, or just getting good value

  • @XNaturalPhenomenonX
    @XNaturalPhenomenonX 5 месяцев назад +8

    Damn, the beseech searching beseech is really interesting. imagine casting with chandra on the table. first iteration searches for manaform hellkite, second one triggers the dragon, seaches for another beseech, which searches for another. suddenly you have a bunch of flying hasties.

    Good to see someone else trying Illicit Masquerade. I have been using it in a dimir shell with cards like Malcom, Alluring Scoundrel, Steamcore Scholar, Faerie Dreamthief or Fallaji Archaeologist to fill the graveyard and loot. With Some copies of Threefold Thunderhulk and All-Seeing Arbiter as the top-end to either further loot, draw and stall out the opponents board or make a bunch of token that you can use again to get counters on and in turn reanimate more stuff later on. It is more relying on some block-into-Flash Illicit Masquerade shenanigans, even so most opponents are having ample removal that can trigger it.

    Not great with trigger ordering and resolution timing, so correct me if I'm wrong:
    In match six at 29:16, could you have targeted your own charming scoundrel with carnosaur? Cauldron is still tapped down, and since carnosaur is discarded as part of the cost, wouldn't it be in the graveyard in time for masquerade to see scoundrel die and then revive the carnosaur?

    I actually found a deck similar to this not too long ago that uses Monastery Mentor, Beseech the Mirror and Reenact the Crime to do a similar silly combo, finishing with an Imodane's Recruiter. The exact list isn't terribly important, and you'll most likely be able to come up with a better list of support cards than I have in my list, but I'd suggest giving it a go. Just remember if you do try putting together a list for it that the sequencing between Beseech and Reenact is uh... We'll say "interesting." Maybe do a test run or two against Sparky to get it down-pat.

      @@trackerholmes6720It promotes viewers to explore more formats that they might otherwise never check out. More dedicated players can usually piece it together. Every video is also sorted by format on my channel page as well as on Aetherhub and Patreon (where titles are more detailed). The video description explains the deck and format without needing to expand it. I mention the format within 5 seconds of the video starting. The job of a title and thumbnail is to get people interested. It would take less effort to come up with "Ovika Masquerade - Standard - MTG Arena", but in a business as competitive as RUclips it doesn't perform as well as alternative titles.
