I was so shocked when the question about not living up to the 'standard' of beauty came up because the first time I watched one of your videos I remember thinking, WOW she is stunning! But what made me stay was your personality and you being so unapologetically yourself. Because honestly there is no dearth of conventionally beautiful people on RUclips, but the authenticity you bring to this space is refreshing and rare.

Yes, I scrolled down to say the same thing: Since when does a blonde haired blue eyed size two tall white chick in her twenties not meet the societal standard of beauty?
yeah like she has a unique aesthetic but she definitely matches society's ideal of beauty pretty closely (slim, white, blonde, great bone structure)? I agree though, she also has a unique type of beauty that shines out from within
I know when I saw that question my jaw dropped bc I would give my left hand to be able to look like her and have her aura and style

I think maybe the person was just asking for advice, (because she is very confident and a great role model) instead of saying that she is “not the standard of beauty.” Does that make sense?
i love the dream behind "the purple palace!" i think i'll be thinking about that for a long time. i wonder what a place that would welcome all my creations without judgement would look like.

As to the 'Beauty Question' : I work in the business of vintage/historical costumes and styling. My "professional" opinion is that you have a beautiful canvas of a face that can become any period, any style any look. I especially look for models with your features [good symmetry, great skin and eyes, photo/telegenic etc..] A singer called Madonna [who may may know] has a similar 'blank canvas' face that can transform into anything. So...as an artist, embrace the "canvas " [La toile] that is you !
Ton dernier commentaire sur la peur de l'échec en France est très juste. J'éprouve beaucoup de difficultés dues à cette éducation et, par extension, face à la confiance en soi. C'est quelque chose dont je me rends compte à vivre et travailler à l'étranger et je cherche vraiment à déconstruire ça, si tu as des recommendations. En tout cas, j'admire ta positivité, ta confiance, sans parler de ta créativité, et tu arrives très bien à les partager avec les autres. Et c'était top de découvrir pourquoi Purple Palace. :)

Ahhhh so happy u answered my dessert question! When i first entered college i used to ask this to everyone i met to get to know them haha. My suite mate called me crème brûlée because my first impression was very tough but apparently i am soft on the inside✨

I just thought of that after you described the meaning behind "The Purple Palace," a palace in the sky of your creations, welcomed without judgment in a place high above, in your imagination. I think you're in the work of building foundations under the purple palace now. Love your channel (it's got me half ready to quit grad school and move back to Spain), and wish you all the best :)

Yeeeeeeeeeeeessss, the best day of the week. Also, a french speaking anglophone (Toronto) living in a franco-canadian city (Montreal), and in a relationship the last 7 years with a european french speaker (Belgian), it makes me laugh how your accent seems so.... Parisian Anglophone ahaha. Especially when you talk with your husband in some other videos, the Parisian really jumps out, it's really nice!

hahah when you were giving your first answer about the purple palace dream, I was watching you and thinking about your energy and this dream & it was reminding me of my moms energy. she's an artist too& and she has these fantastical dreams that give her such direct answers like that. Her and I both dream a lot...but we're quite different in our dream "styles". sometimes her dreams are very lucid. as I was listening to you and looking at your hair and earrings - and thinking , "she's got to be an Aquarius!" with her magical , creative energy & optimism. I never meet Aquariuses. but my mom is an Aquarius all the way! I'm a pisces moon. My grandpa is big into astrology & I'm always trying to convince myself that I'm not. but then I have moments like these, when I remember just how beautiful and special it is. I worked on my french classes on « Le parti pris des choses » and it a book with a lot of text where he looks things a way not a lot of people see like an oyster looks like a rocks but the inside of the shell look like a paradise sky and you really look like him in your phylosiphie

To français a tellement progressé depuis le moment où j'ai commencé à regarder tes vidéos :O ! bravo c'est génial, moi je fais le chemin inverse, je suis une française qui a déménagé en Ecosse et c'est vrai que cela demande beaucoup d'efforts au quotidien pour devenir fluent mais ça vaut le coup

J'aime beaucoup l'histoire qui se cache derrière le nom de ta chaîne, c'est très beau ! J'aurais bien aimé faire un rêve comme ça pour m'aider à effacer tous les doutes que j'avais quand j'étais plus jeune. Quoi qu'il en soit, on finit tous par trouver notre place à un moment donné, peu importe comment et le temps que ça prend :) Ce qui compte surtout c'est qu'il ne faut pas être trop dur avec soi-même et essayer, toujours essayer.
