What's your chronotype?? 🦉Share with us! 🧡ALSO: I'd love your honest feedback on the format on this video: too long? Interesting? Always looking to improve :)
I watched a part of it and listened to the rest of it, as long as it's useful I don't mind the lenght. Maybe after 1h it gets a bit more hard to fit in a schedule though. Amazing value, very interesting, the only unresolved question for me is how long does the peak/middle part/rebound last for, we know the middle/less productive part comes about 7h after you wake up but not how long it lasts. This way one could know what is the effect of the chronotype and what is just a self-created slump and when one is more likely to get out of it. Thanks for the video! :)
Do you mean chapters on the bottom bar? I always thought RUclips made those automatically 🤔 regardless: great feedback! I will definitely investigate this. 🙏
I am a lark, and self employed. I totally schedule client tasks during the first part of the day. I don’t really have a rebound. My struggle is to get both exercise and client time into the high value hours. During the evenings I read, that is about all I have energy for.
I’m a lark. I’m also someone who tends to be pretty useless around 2:00 p.m. I used to feel ashamed of my productivity in the afternoon. Thank you for making this video-it’s so helpful and interesting.
Yes-relatable!! I was feeling ashamed which seems silly to say but it’s true. Now I just embrace the dip and move around or take a proper break :) thanks for sharing 🙏
I would love if you covered a book a month as a sort of book club, announcing the book then reviewing it a month later. The books you read are so interesting!
Thank you! What a lovely idea. I’ll add this to my brainstorm list. 📚🧡 I’ve also been thinking of ways to create more low production live stream moments to hang out. :) Seems like a perfect thing to combine with books! Ps: I’m currently reading “The Luck Factor: The Scientific Study of the Lucky Mind” and really enjoying it. Super interesting to read about the author’s research on the psychology and behaviors associated to “being lucky” ✨
@TheScienceofSelfCare That would be amazing as a casual live stream, where we can chime in with our thoughts or questions. Maybe another youtuber would even get in on it. Thank you for sharing your current read! I'm making my way though Good Energy. I think you might have read that one.
According to my Oura ring, I am a early morning type, and I would agree 10000%. I am so clear headed and energetic in the morning. I get everything done then. I naturally wake up between 5-6 am (no alarm) and naturally fall asleep before 9. I work out in the morning as well since that is when I feel my best.
@ I’ve had my Oura ring almost 6 years and it is the BEST investment I’ve ever made. I hate that the ring is so expensive and they make you pay a monthly fee just to see YOUR data but even with that I’ll never be without my ring 😆
That does sound challenging!! Night owls and 9-to-5 life don’t mix very well. The book had some tips on talking with management about schedule tweaks, but obviously this depends so much on the role and company. I hope you’re able to find a routine that allows you to get the rest you need. ⚡️⚡️Thanks for sharing. 🤍
Thank you so much! Honestly, feeling good about how we present ourselves is not as trivial as it may seem :) I’m thinking of making some sort of video on this.. I’ll keep brainstorming! Re hair: I am still figuring it all out. I feel more skilled in skincare / makeup than haircare / styling. But this is the best purchase I’ve made for hair in a LONG time: amzn.to/3ZauK6k I don’t know if you use heat tools, but this makes my hair look professionally done with little to no skill (I can’t even blow dry my hair properly haha) 🤍 xx Robin
@@TheScienceofSelfCare You show an amazing skin care and diet but another trivial suggestion, if you could make a video about your make up would be great! your skin looks amazing :-)
Great conversation! Thank you! I have been wondering about one thing, it is about time change, summer time and standard time. I have not changed what time I wake up in the morning after recent time change, and day light is becoming shorter and shorter since it is in November, I have been wondering what the good way to maintain or follow my natural circadian rhythm would be. I know it is only an hour yet it is affecting our(my) internal schedule.
Hey! thanks for your great question. As she mentioned in the interview, we can adjust our natural schedules a bit without too many repercussions, so I am sure an hour difference is something our body can quickly adjust to. If you're concerned at all, you can always split the difference and wake up 30 minutes later/earlier as you adjust. I think of it as being similar to jet lag; our body will get there with a little time. But more importantly, in the winter, there is less morning light/light in general. So it can be a great idea to make sure you have plenty of light exposure when you wake up, even if it's still dark outside. There are many types of light therapy lamps that have comparable light to the sun (without any UV damage to skin). This is the one I have (amzn.to/3AUp6fd) which works well in terms of luminosity but I do not like the stand because it feels a little cheap. There are so many other lamps out there, but all in all: I think light exposure (plus sleeping at a consistent time) is the best way to support our circadian rhythm in the winter. Hope this helps! xx Robin
@ wow thank you Robin for taking time to reply to me. I now see that changing to standard time life maybe a good idea, and also morning light is very very important. I use a wake-up light (Philips) to wake up in dark morning to keep my wake up time consistency, now I realized that I need to keep the bright light on after waking up, so that my brain believes that it is in the “real” morning. Also it may probably be a good idea to keep room lights on longer in the evening even though outside is getting dark so early? I will experiment about it. Thanks again, looking forward to your next video. You are awesome!
🤍 Thank you!! I am personally so fascinated by circadian rhythms but it’s not usually the hottest topic with my friends and family haha.. so I’m really glad you enjoyed this!!
What a coincidence that you ask this! I am actually in the middle of filming a 30-day test trying many of his Blueprint products. In this video I will share my detailed thoughts on the products and also on his larger messages. There are some elements to his content that I find helpful, and some less so. I do not personally resonate with his “don’t die” mission and some things he shares feel a bit like he’s building a cult … haha. But I can appreciate his experimental nature, his focus on healthy living, and how he inspires many people to make lasting changes in their lifestyle. First and foremost, I view him as a businessman. And I think he is a really talented marketer (which I genuinely mean as a compliment). I do respect him even if I don’t always agree with him. I could actually talk about this for a longgg time so I am eager to go into more detail soon.
