One of the things about Bowsers Inside story that I personally think doesn’t get enough love is the boxart. The simple white background has become very iconic for the series with how contrasting it is, it puts a lot of focus on, well, Mario and Luigi
It's the same as the Japanese box art. The previous games in Japan are also stylized that way, but for some reason in America, it was given a major overhaul to show more characters. The American Partners in Time box art is my personal favourite.
yeah from Bowser's Inside Story onward, the boxart for the series permanently changed to a simple white background, the bros being just above the title and there being small elements of the games theme: BiS: Bowser and Starlow (with the game being focused on the Koopa King and this being Starlow's debut where she'd become a permanent recurring character in the series) Dream Team: Luigi dreaming and Antasma (the games focus on dreams, the main villain being a nightmare vampire and with Luigi being the center focus) Paper Jam: just showing its a crossover between Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario (and how it could have been better) Brothership: the ship-shaped island and Snoutlet
This game literally saved my life. No joke. Most of you probably don't know or remember this, back in 2009 when the Swine Flu/H1N1 pandemic was reported (the same year this game was released), it was treated as a super big deal in the media. I was terrified of how bad the outbreak is and lived in depression for months and not telling anyone on how I felt. When I got BIS, I was amazed with the visuals, the soundtrack and of course, how well crafted the gameplay is. The game just kept my spirits up because I want to see what crazy thing it has to offer. When I got my booster, I cried after knowing that I can finally move on from a virus scare that plagued me for a year. Moral of the story: Keep pushing through even when you're in a state of fear. If things get bad, tell someone on how you're feeling. There's people who are more than willing to help you.
The moral here is "don't trust the dirty dirty smear merchants in the media". Swine flu was really not a big deal. Nobody around here paid it any mind.

Let's Plays are a form of escapism and I want to refrain from talking about stuff that would bring people back to reality. BIS was also a form of escapism for me back when I was a terrified teen during what was a scary pandemic, and I was in a really dark place at the time due to my fears and other hang ups at the time. I had to remove any details about my story that could be triggering for some. Fear and uncertainty is a real feeling, and I sympathize for those who are going through a tough time. All I can tell people is to be safe and never be afraid to talk to others about how you're feeling. As I said, there's people out there who are willing to not only help you, but also lend an ear to listen to your struggles. You're loved, and you do make a difference in the lives of those around you. Stay strong!
This game is a perfect demonstration of Bowser’s tremendous writing, honestly. He’s so much fun and I’m so glad he’s there the entire game to demonstrate that.
I don't know what's more weird to think about- the fact that the Scutlet managed to block Bowser's flame pipe, which then closed up on its own after it was defeated, or the fact that the Scutlet should have been cinders from how much fire presumably had to have been flaring underneath it all that time.
I'm so glad you mentioned the other language's title because they also have a double meaning! They're based on a Jules Verne novel called "Journey to the Center of Earth" and it's one of my favorite details

Something I love about this game’s soundtrack is that there are always 2 tracks for each overworld. There’s the standard theme if you explore it as Bowser and then the theme gets a techno remix when you’re inside Bowser. It’s a cool detail I like!

I had a really funny experience with this game where I completely forgot Starlow's name so when Bowser asked what her name was and she responded with Chippy I just accepted it. And since he calls her Chippy throughout the entire game and she's never called Starlow again in this game, (except maybe one other time if i'm remembering correctly) I always called her Chippy and even called her Chippy again in Dream Team even though that game reminds you that her name is Starlow.

"Leisure Suit Luigi" sounds like the adventure game we never needed, but someone wanted. Things are heating up, but in a fun way. Not in the way that things have been heating up IRL, although things probably could be improved if we start a barbecue.
Whilst I wouldn't doubt that jumping on the tongue would hurt more. Jumping into someone's back would definitely deal more permanent, perhaps life altering damage. (Paralysis for instance)

Idk why, but it feels like your presses don’t get detected a bunch, so you get robbed out of Greats or Excellents a bunch. I liked it way more in Dream Team where it was timing at first and then a flurry similar to before

Anyways, the Scutlet boss. I swear, this thing should be hella dead from clogging up the Flame Pipe, but lo and behold, it’s not. Hell, I’m pretty sure standard Scutlet enemies are weak to flames while the boss isn’t (I think). The Fire Flower is a Special Attack I don’t like in this game. Idk why, but it feels like your presses don’t get detected a bunch, so you get robbed out of Greats or Excellents a bunch. I liked it way more in Dream Team where it was timing at first and then a flurry similar to before
