I sure hope that my favorite board game reviewer, after not having posted for one year : a. is healthy and b. returns to reviewing games again. If you've retired, all the best. But know that there isn't anybody else like you in the game review space and you are sorely missed!
I love that you reviewed a lot of games that are less discussed, like games not yet in the US. A lot of these 'top' lists are full of games most gamers are aware of as top hotness, which makes for a very generic list. I think you did a good job of considering less hype and more games specific to your tastes, which are clearly distinctive. A much more useful list.
Thanks for the video Jeremy. I appreciate taking the time to highlight 20 games rather than the "standard " 10. That highlight games than can be overlooked. Also I liked you making a separate list of reimagining/reprints. Always a good that when I get the notification that you posted a new video.
Great list! I really appreciate the variety and your reasoning for how you compiled your choices. Now I’m regretting not backing the Copenhagen Kickstarter, but I have plenty enough to play as it is. I still haven’t played my copy of Promenade yet, but it is being reprinted next year as Art Decko (ugh) so it will be more widely available.
I wouldn't think Copenhagen is particularly reduced as a retail game... I just haven't played that version yet, so I had to offer a disclaimer. Great news about Promenade!
Great list! The 3 games that I'm most eager to try from this year are Barrage, Yinzi, and Babylonia. Have you heard anything about the upcoming rumored English printing of Yinzi (and when it may be released)?
The original version of Yinzi was English for what it's worth. I think the price and distribution model of Spielworxx might be holding the game back somewhat. I heard Game Brewer might pick it up, but haven't heard anything official yet.
Really enjoyed the video. I was curious to see if you've played wingspan from this year? Recently discovered it with our friends and really enjoy that game.
Thanks... Wingspan isn't for me. I'm not sure that I'd ever choose to play it over Race for the Galaxy or San Juan. I don't like the poor iconography (it's too hard to read others' cards) and the luck factor has seemed high (some early cheap cards seem to give players a huge advantage).
Cool list, btw you have 2019 in the description ;) Have you played Blitzkrieg or Flick of faith? Hadara for our group has been a huge dissapointment, because it felt like we've seen everything in game 1. We played 3 more and nothing "new" happened, just rehashing the same strategies.
I did play Blitzkrieg and liked it for what it was... In a similar 2p-only vein, Watergate came close to making my list, but I only managed to play it once thus far. Didn't manage to play Flick of Faith, though I've heard good things.

Well done! I love that some of your games are off the beaten path. At least, off MY beaten path.

Nice list and cool video. I really like how your personal taste shines through and the whole non-hyped vibe is refreshing :)
YAY! Another one of your Videos! Was hoping for more last week from your channel.

Not the usual suspects, huh. Thanks for the video.
I hear you are in my neck of the woods. I live in Floyd. I'm desperate to find some local/regional boardgamers.

@@jeremyreviewsit3213 Yes, I can see your points on that for sure and in some ways agree. Thanks!

Pick up the two mini expansions from the Hans Im Gluck site. They open up more strategies.More cards and monuments.
