    ❤ any suggestions for sandal models where I can fit orthopedic insoles without looking like orthopedic shoes/trekking shoes? Please leave them down below!

    Got it last year and wore it all through summer and fall. Practically lived in it :) but to be honest I didn’t like the length of the top part as I’m short in torso and I feel there’s some extra fabric that doesn’t sit well with the placement of the tie. I’m almost 50 and started to not care how my waistline or tummy looks like anymore :) so I just enjoyed how comfortable it was.
    I prefer the longer version on you or perhaps it was the color of the long one? Not a fan of the lilac color- I think for that price point it’s better to go for the best color not just an OK one. I hope I’m not being a pushy auntie here ;)
    Ps. loved the lipstick. Have you tried CT’s viva La vergara? It’s been my fave lipstick since I got it- perfect for olive skin.

      Really? I have a short torso too 😉 I thought the “extra room” is because I have a big bust and I have to size up in everything for it, which leaves me with extra fabric around the waist. But I don’t mind anymore.
      Ihih lilac is my favorite color 🤣 but as I said in the video, I think it really depends on the light. It’s really tricky to photograph or film purple without alterning its real color. In real life, I see this lilac differently and like it more - it goes more towards the pink side.
      I’ll check out the lipstick now, thanks!

    I just got the short in the same mauve color and heard the whole, “it’s not worth the price” argument over and over. I have to disagree, I can see myself wearing this and getting every penny’s worth. It fits beautifully and is so comfortable, I don’t think a dupe could ever.

      100% agree! I used to have a dress that was similar in that it was a tshirt dress. Everyone thought it was overpriced, but kept complimenting me on it, and I kept it for around 6 years even through many body changes. It was, up to date, my most worn dress ever. Worth every single penny

    Hi Lidia - I can’t help you with finding summer shoes to put insoles in… but I can offer you a solution to look into, to be able to stop wearing insoles all together. The “cure” for foot issues that require insoles is to do functional strength training, especially from the core downwards. With a weak core and/or weak glutes, this throws the rest of the body off, both above and below the center of the body. I had to start training with a personal trainer because I had painful knees from this, and weak ankles that would start to roll on long walks at a decent pace, and I also have foot arches that tend to collapse and my feet are a lot flatter than they should be. I don’t know your specific orthotic design, but the problem isn’t actually coming from your feet- and usually just treating the symptom can actually make the issues worse over time, with things like knees and hips and your back. After 3 months I am able to walk very quickly on an inclined treadmill without holding on because my balance is so much better, and my ankles don’t roll from my flat feet anymore, and my knees don’t hurt. I hope this helps, I know it is not the most accessible solution but I think it is the only thing that would genuinely solve the problem, and I would be really excited for you to be able to wear all of the shoes you were unable to wear before.

      Hi! Thanks for your meaningful comment. I have an appointment with a trainer next week, but I don’t know if he does these specific things. I have a tendinitis that’s been haunting me since 2 years now, I can never restart any sport because I end up hurting myself even more and so they told me I have to wear insoles for life, and I tried some physio, insoles, painful treatment and nothing worked for good. Ill look into that ❤️

    • @HeatherHasGame
      @HeatherHasGame 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@thelidiaedit you may be able to strengthen muscles in a way that offsets tendon issues by taking the strain off them- definitely ask questions about whether the trainer can help you rehab these issues, and if not, it would be best to find one who has that specific experience, even if it is someone who often focuses on older clients, until you get to a state where you are not in pain. I really hope your appointment goes well, it is SO nice to get rid of painful issues that are holding us back. 🩷 oh and doctors don’t really know about a lot of things and they have been wrong about me countless times and were shocked to see me overcome things they said were permanent so I believe the same can be true for you. It may take a long time of consistent effort, but the time is going to pass anyway, might as well get a couple years into the future free of pain instead of with it!

      @HeatherHasGame these words truly resonate with me. Thank you. Would you suggest this person is a trainer in a gym or a physiotherapist? ❤️

    • @HeatherHasGame
      @HeatherHasGame 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@thelidiaedit I go to a nice gym, where they have higher quality trainers. I considered physical therapy but I think it is probably more expensive due to added costs like X-rays and stuff that I don’t need (I don’t have injuries, just atrophy) and I went in with the goal of wanting to eventually be athletic so that is what fit me the best. You can get scans done at a doctor and still use a trainer at a gym if that is what suits you and what you want to do.

    Not everyone can wear this dress. I have seen it on several influencers where the tie simply hits in the wrong place. For sandals, try Vionic or Orthofeet. I have sandals from both companies. Orthofeet are better made, but Vionic are extremely light weight. I have horrible feet and I can wear these two brands.

    Hello! As a 40/42 in Sezane, did you go for L or XL on the Pippa dresses? Thx!

    • @thelidiaedit

      Hi, I thought I mentioned in the video. I got an XL for the long and an L for the short one. I think I prefer the L. I’d say stay true to size.
