The Hugh Laurie-directed mini-series is really well done. Lucy Boynton steals the show as Frankie.

I recommend Peril At End House. I think it's one of her few step-by-step detective stories. And it's just a fun book to read, and has some fun Hasting and Poirot moments.

Can failure ever be fun? Once again Agatha led us down the garden path that took us nowhere, meanwhile the guilty ones almost got away…

I totally called Roger as the guy, but I had NO IDEA who Evans was or why it mattered. I missed all of that. I suspected the fake sister and her husband to be in league with Roger (kind of convenient for all of them to be there so fast, you know?) but despite every British book ever written talking about how the servants know everything, I never put those pieces together.

I agree with you about Frankie and Tuppence being similar. I think that Bobby and Tommy are too, but that there are enough differences between the four characters and the dynamics between each couple that Bobby and Frankie don't merely end up Tommy and Tuppence 2. The social inequality adds another interesting dynamic to the Bobby/Frankie relationship.
It's been so fun to hear your thoughts on this one. I remember not caring for this one when I first read it as a kid, but I've found that I enjoy it much more as an adult. And I definitely never came near to solving this one.

I just finished Nemesis. I liked the book overall, but not so much the ending. The main interest in the book was Miss Marple's personality, in my opinion. It was a good read.

I haven't read this yet but it sounds good! I'll leave it a month or so, to forget what you've said, then I'll read it, it sounds fun!

I knew as soon as Moira told her take about her husband that she was the bad guy and that Rodger was too. Didn’t know how or why or anything else 😂
If you haven’t read the ABC murders I recommend it.

22:47 The title Queen of Crime doesn't come for free, that's why there have only been four - wait, five, or was that never official - who have ever achieved that title.
